My husband is an absolute gamer and he was thrilled to receive this! It was super easy to get set up and he was able to easily move his saved data to it. He was very impressed with how much smoother and faster his Xbox was after the switch. It really does help with the overall performance of the product. I really like how small it is. The Xbox is pretty big so its nice not to have more big devices cluttering the area. We are very happy with this and definitely think its a must buy for anyone who needs something like this.

If you are downloading online purchased game from PS Store, this is must have. My 1TB PS pro can only load so much, that I had to delete/install, and if I want to play again, I have to re-download. With this WD 5TB, I downloaded all my purchased game, and never have to worry about deleting them for I still have 2TB to go.

This portable gaming hard drive is so convenient to have. Its easy to take on the go or it can be stored away with out taking up a lot of room. It connected right away with my Xbox one making it easy to load any games I have. The storage space of 3TB is enough to add a games that I don’t want taking up space directly on my Xbox. Overall having this added external space is very helpful.

I picked this up to hold a decent chunk of my Steam library, and was surprised to find that the speed is much improved over USB 3.0 drives of old. Currently, there is now no discernable difference in speed between this drive and a comparable internal drive. I did purchase 2, but for different uses, one for games, the other for storing backups of my phone, laptop, and tablet, with plenty of room left for some music and movies/shows. After hammering both drives with transfers, streaming, and gaming, the drive and casing both remained cool to the touch. Of course, there are likely cheaper options out there currently, but I am happy with my purchase for my use case.

This hard drive install was a breeze, it was just plug and play. As soon as I plugged it in it was functioning just like it was supposed to. I feel like the easier the setup is the more likely people are to use it and that is exactly what you get with this device. It has the perfect amount of storage space to be able to download a decent amount of games. I am very happy with this hard drive and highly recommend it.

I purchased 2, one for my Xbox One and one for my PlayStation 4. These were NOT the company branded ones (which were more expensive for less storage). Legit just plugged them into the units, formatted them to the system (basic instructions included) and starting moving my library. Haven’t noticed any slow down when loading or playing. Powered right from the system’s USB. The one attached to the Xbox is outta sight, outta mind behind the system plugged into the back, but the one attached to the PS4 is plugged in up front and sitting on top of the console. I would highly recommend for anyone who has a Xbox Gamepass/Gold or PlayStation Plus account. While these are portable HDD’s I haven’t unplugged or moved them, but they are definitely pocket size. B&H did a great job getting them to me in a timely manner, and they were packaged appropriately for save shipping.

I paid $109, now its $99, which is an even better deal, it has decent speed and great build quality, looks killer like something out of a scifi movie. Obviously haven’t had it long enough to comment on longevity, but I did read reviews at other sites before buying, I didnt see many negative comments so I assume these don’t have high failure rates, which is why i chose it, but do some research as failure rates become apparent over time and things might have changed by the time you read this.

I am new to most tech stuff but this was very easy to set up. The only thing I had a hard time with was on how to disconnect it properly but I just watched some YouTube videos to figure it out. And another nice thing about this is that I can play older games off it without moving anything on to the Xbox, I can play right off the drive

It is a very good hard drive really neat and cool looking also. It dies really good at storing games, and not having a ssd is fine considering it’s downloads fairly fast regardless so that’s not to much of a problem.

The WD Black is a convenient way of storing your games. I hate that I’ve had to delete games to download new ones. This gives you that extra space so you don’t have to. Nice to have on hand for the extra storage.
