Ordered this as a backup for my Macbook Pro, and I was shocked at how small it was when I received it. Great drive and easy to carry.

Title. Do not buy. And from the looks of it, this is the 5th 1 star review for this drive being DOA – out of 38 total reviews, so in other words, about 1 in 8 will be DOA. Id say WD has some work to do.

I’m an amateur photographer and keep the vast majority of my pictures. I download my memory cards straight to these WD 2TB drives without any issues. The transfer speed is fast and I’ve never encountered any issues using these SSDs. Excellent long term storage.

Drive failed after 6 months, WD touts a multi-year warranty, yet makes it next to impossible to process an exchange. The site requires that you establish an account. Requires Photos of the SS# numbers and receipt. B&H does not print the serial number of the device on the receipt as Amazon does. I bought three drives from B&H, and one from Amazon. Unfortunately the failed drive was not the one purchased from Amazon. I cannot match a receipt with the serial number of the failed drive. The position of the serial number is along a curved edge that makes getting a clear image very, very difficult. Buy a different drive, and buy from Amazon.
