The 18TB Purple 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5″ Internal Surveillance Hard Drive from WD is designed to withstand the stresses placed on it in a 24/7, always-on, high-definition surveillance system with 16+ drive bays. With support for up to 64 high-definition surveillance cameras, this 18TB hard drive can hold a large amount of data and gives you the ability to easily upgrade and expand your security system. Furthermore, AllFrame AI technology helps improve video capturing and reduces errors, pixelation, and video interruptions that could happen in a video recorder system.
A SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, sustained data transfer speeds of up to 272 MB/s, and a 512MB cache all help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers. Furthermore, the drive’s 300,000 load/unload cycles, annualized workload rating of 360TB per year, MTBF rating of 1.5 million hours, and <1 in 1015 non-recoverable read errors per bit read also help to ensure a strong operational life.

This is sure a BIG GUY and he works perfectly. should have many more days of recording now. I use to have about 5 days and now am up to 13 days and counting. I am adding a new system that comes with a 3 tb drive so i will be upgrading it too

I installed this into my Blue Iris computer for PoE cameras. Install was smooth. Just be sure you have your own SATA cable and four screws.
