The 1TB SSD has a tendency to disconnect after a few hours requiring computer restart. It does not write consistently above 3000MB/S. It’s only good as an external SSD for data storage. I’ve been using it for 2 years now and I’m highly disappointed. Never gonna take the risk of buying a WD product again. Even my 6 year old Transcend 2.5 SSD has more consistent performance and never once has it automatically disconnected.

Perfect speedy NVMe storage solution on a budget. I used this to create an NVMe RAID volume. Stupid fast!
Junior Flatley (verified owner) –
So far so good. Read and write speeds are as good as advertising.
Margaret Nicolas (verified owner) –
I purchased this as an upgrade for my custom PC build, and let me say this is really fast. I use this for editing as well gaming, and in the proper M.2 NVME port, this thing can sustain full 3,000 mb/s read/write speeds with no problem. Absolutely love it.

What more can I say. Works great!!

Have purchased several variants of this drive (2 512GB and 1 1TB) – all have fast performance while being only slight more expensive than budget/mainstream SSDs. Excellent choice for PCIe 3.0 SSDs.
Addison Romaguera (verified owner) –
Can’t believe how much m.2 ssds have dropped and this is an excellent product. Even faster write speed than my Sammy Evo for 2/3 the price. Time will tell the longevity

Looks of quality construction, easy to install. I had 2×256 installed by the third party reseller. I noticed improved load speed.

This a great item and it has a great price. The thing is though is I order it and it was supposed to come 2 weeks latter. This was ok to me but it ended up coming a month after when it supposed to. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is that they were very good about it and they gave me news and updates. Also, the price was unmatchable for a item with such great quality. Not to mention how good the actual item is, and it was extremely easy to install. I will and have bought from B&H in the future and I am looking forward to do business with them!

Fast delivery and I not have expandable storage for my PS5!

This is one of the easiest and best upgrades I’ve made. I find the retail prices prohibitive, but the sale prices are great. It’s also worth investing in a USB enclosure for these drives if you’re going to clone an existing drive (say from a laptop).

I’ve been using it for nearly six months and have had nothing but good experiences so far with this SSD. Based on the reviews, it’s the one of the best price to performance ratio on the market and I’m really not disappointed so far.

I’ll update this review if anything changes, but right now, this unit loads everything up in the blink of an eye.

I’ve used WD mechanical drives almost exclusively and so far had pretty good luck with them. This one doesn’t disappoint so far, I guess time will tell how it holds up…

The only problem I had installing was limited space inside my PC. I had to remove the display adapter to have enough room to insert the drive properly and insert the tiny retaining screw. Once everything was put back together and I got my OS configured to use the drive, I saw that it is as fast as advertised. It is about seven times as fast as my SATA III SSD, and about 14 times as fast as my SATA III HDD. And I can really tell a difference in the everyday use of my Arch Linux PC.
