Upgrade your old PC!!

The drive was very easy to install and format. I am using it as a scratch drive for Adobe Premiere CC, and I love it. It is fast. I am already seeing performance gains in the editing process.

The only negative comment I have is that it took a couple of tries to initialize the drive using the Western Digital Acronis True Image cloning software. Once I cloned the original hard disk, this SSD went to work immediately The boot speed was phenomenal and programs open flawlessly. Best 1TB SSD I have used. I hope it is as reliable as my old HDD drives that I have used in the past.

Super fast for what it is. Boot times are quick and games load so fast I can’t read the loading screen tips anymore.

A relatively affordable and reliable choice for large capacity SSD. Have been running in RAID 0 (with frequent HDD backup). So far so good, even with a few times power failure.

My SSD’s came in quickly and at a great price. Thank you!

Works as it should, very small can be mounted in any orientation and has mounting screw holes on the side and bottom. Good drive for the money.
Rosario Raynor (verified owner) –
A lot of storage space for a good price! Plus it has data migration software included to get your old OS and programs transferred over quickly and efficiently!

Hard to say no when it’s on sale

Yeap, using the SSD card is a lot faster than HHD cards. Work great.

A drive is a drive, but the bundled Acronis software wouldn’t recognize it. After some back-and-forth with WD, and downloading work-around software which crashed, WD informed me that they don’t support Windows 7. SO much for using this product to update a legacy computer!

Everybody should have a SSD boot drive. No reason for HDDs except for massive storage of stuff you don’t need – and that should be off-line anyway. Most laptops were crippled by slow 5400 rpm OEM drives. Replacing with almost any SATA SSD will improve performance of everything you do. Lower power draw will also increase battery time. I do favor drives with some DRAM or SLC caching and at least 500 GB for the added performance. This unit went into a laptop with SATA II 3GB/s. Still a great improvement over the old HDD. My customer was considering a new laptop, but is very happy with the speed now.

One of the best SSD regarding price and quality ratio. Expecially here on B&H since it cost me less then buying it in my country, so i recommend totally the ourchase of this item on B&H. Also the shippng was really fast even I am in an other continent 🙂 The write and read speed is fabulous, can be used also on the Atomos Ninja V monitor and this is one of the main reasons i have bought it, but i will purchase another also for my PC just with bigger capacity (1TB) Thank you B&H

We have a large digital imaging lab for our Visual Communications students and purchased (6) of these WD 500GB Blue SSD drives about a month ago to upgrade some of our aging MacPro v4,1 (2009) workstations. These drives, coupled with a 16GB RAM upgrade (OWC 1066MHz UDIMM Kits) also purchased from B&H, have given new life to our older MacPro’s. The performance boost has been excellent and so far the drives have been rock solid in reliablity.

1Tb of storage space and intelligent Solid state drive software to move your frequently used programs/data onto that additional drive. So, overtime the performance of the Disc gets better and better.

Just as it is. Replaced a standard hard drive. Smooth process without surprise or disappointment.

You will not believe how much faster an older laptop works when you replace the HDD with a SSD.

Easy install/setup in PC. Very fast – of course. Good price. Can’t beat it.
