I am replacing my old 4TB Western Digital drive I have been using for several years. This one is smaller and will provide enough space to back up all of my data.

This drive formatted for the MAC is a great little portable. It can be reformatted, as I did for EX-FAT and put my media on it for playing through a Raspberry Pi on my TV. Works without a glitch. Having the USB A to USB C adapter is a plus. One point of improvement is in the packing for shipping. It was in a vinyl shipping bag–not a box with shock absorbing material. I was worried that the drive would be D.O.A. I lucked out this time, though.

Started transferring files right out of the box. It’s smaller than other external hard drives that I’ve had and the USB 3.0 is FAST!

Bought this for my son, I already have this.Works great!

Bought two of these babies for footage (and backup) for a music video we shot in November 2015. Quick, simple – and fit into a standard postal mailer (with extra bubble wrap, of course) for shipping to our west coast editor!

The device had to be erased and reformatted to work on my Mac. I’d paid extra for Mac compatibility.

I’ve been using the WD 2TB, 4TB, and 6TB hard drives since the start of my professional career and I haven’t had a single issue since. The WD 2TB has been the perfect travel hard drive for countless adventures and continues to be a reliable and trusting safety storage for all my images the past 6 years.

I use both safari and windows so to reformat to use for both to save my video is just what I need

Claims “plug and play out of the box”, came, plugged in and projected a “corrupt drive” window onto my screen. Should have bought the higher quality product rather than try to save money.

Wd 2T bs4b0020bbl made in Malaysia , is it made buy your company or is it a copy ? Thx for answering

I got this to be able to save a copy of my most important images offsite. It is great for this application. It seems smaller than my 1T WD Passports. It appears to be reliable (I always do a full scan and a full erase before using a new disk and it passed that OK). The speed is pretty good for a small rotational disk. The performance is adequate for archival backups. I wouldn’t use this for a working disk on my computer. I was so impressed I ordered another one.

I filled my IMac’s 1 terabyte hard drive with trail cam videos and land pictures. Ordered this external drive and was pleased with the price, ease and speed of setup. Basically no setup other than directing my Apple Photo app to put all new pictures on this drive.

I plugged them in and mirrored my two internal 4TB 7200 rpm drives. Both worked flawlessly.

I only used it for a few months or so, then it just stopped working. I would plug it in and a notification popped up saying it had “malfunctioned”, Looking for help. I believe my cord could have messed up, but I need more info about the cord type to buy a new one.

This hard drive is awesome. Very affordable for what it is and easy to carry around. In addition, I am sure it will hold up great as Western Digital is a super well known and trustworthy brand. This thing is awesome and I’d recommend it to anyone – my dad already bought two!
