Seems fine. Nice and small – no complaints so far

I’ve been using WD products for many years and this one doesn’t disappoint. I’m super happy to experience its ease of use and as always, fast retrieval of my files…

I have been buying WD Passports over the years for storage needs. Not one failure yet. Well built and priced right.

I downloaded up to 600 GB in it painstakingly and suddenly it crashed and I lost all that data. It doesn’t even show up as a drive in any computer I tried ever since. The light is on but nothing is to be found!

nice item

This product failed on me. Multiple times it didn’t eject properly. Then suddenly, it wouldn’t mount! I have lost all my data on something that was meant to be a back up of that data. Never buy this product, ever! Does not deserve one star!

Had to search for a How to to get this HD talking to my MacBook. Works fine once the drive was reformatted.

Had an extended trip to Australia and purchased this to backup my laptop hard drive. Performed wonderfully and made the trip and shooting much more joyful. Had a bad experience recently with another manufacturer but the Western Digitals keep going without a hitch.

WD has great products. This is another one. Can use it right out of the box. High capacity. High transfer rate. Never had any problems with any WD drives.

Love the fact that it needs no power cord and that it’s ready to backup right outta the gate.

It completely died one month after buying it. WD does have a warranty but good luck trying to navigate their website. It took me hours to get to someone (and then a lot of mansplaining until the customer support guy had to admit that the drive was dead) and finally I got him to accept the return. It then took 4 months for them to send me a new one! Honestly not worth the hassle. I’ll be buying from another company from now on. Wonder how long the replacement is going to last?

I have a first gen Xbox one, got it shortly after release. I guess over the course of the last few years, while I was preoccupied on rocket league, games went the way of 100 gb file size. With the stock hard drive that limits me to a handful of games. Lame. So I bought this, 2TB drive to plug into the USB port on my Xbox. After easily formatting the drive through the Xbox settings I was downloading games and playing them off of the external drive without a hiccup. I can easily store tens of games on this drive and significantly expand my library. No issues whatsoever with the product. Would recommend.

It literally stopped working a month after i bought it. No reason. Didn’t fall, it just stopped working.

I have no problems with it. Works pretty fast.

I am a picture hoarder, and at this moment have an ungodly amount of passwords to keep up with. This device is a lifesaver. It is extremely easy to use. It fits in the palm of my hand and is easy to keep up with.

This WD Hard drive is great only mine stopped working a few weeks ago. Ive had it for almost 2 years. I took it with me to 8 countries and 2 months sailing the oceans, but luckily I had a back up so I didnt lose anything I cant retrieve.

The external hard drive worked better than expected. Very easy to store data on and to retrieve data.

So far so good! I was in desperate need of some space (in addition to the 2TB My Passport I have –I work with a lot of photos and large design files) and this was an affordable, reliable way to get my hands on that!

Installed on Windows computer Nov 7, hardware failure occurred Dec 14. Used as a backup drive. Heads clicking on disk surface. Will not use WesternDigital drives from now on.
