I find it hard to believe this much memory has become so affordable. Reasonably strong build, reads and writes as advertised. WD always delivers. Used on an ROG Strix – Windows 10

I use both safari and windows so to reformat to use for both to save my video is just what I need

This is the greatest external hard drive I have ever used. It’s only about the size of a deck of cards or a smartphone and only about 1/2 inch thick. It uses USB and gets it’s power from the computer without the need of additional power. Holds thousands of pictures and also works as a great backup. Definitely recommended.

The WD My Passport for MAC is so easy to use. No formatting required. I just took the compact external hard drive out of its box and plugged it into my MacBook Pro to backup. Files copied quickly and have plenty of storage left.

Use these drives for transferring video and audio files. Very reliable drives. If you have USB 3.0 capability, the transfer speeds are amazing.

worked like a charm created 2tb partition for me and 2tb partition for wife and did a system image for both of us. no problems at all on windows 11 build 22533.

It seems fine – my first external backup drive! Small, easy, and a great price.

Ideal for use when travelling (to upload photos).

Simple startup: Already formatted for Mac. Ready to go once connected. Actually it would have been helpful if the interface made that clear. Four stars rather than five for that reason and because it’s too early to know how it will perform in the long run.

Seems to be working well so far but setting it up was more difficult then is should be because of the lack of any real instructions.

I’ve always had good luck with the Passport external hard drives. Presently have 4 3tb drives and several 2 tb drives, none of which have ever had a problem. So far this 5tb drive is working flawlessly. It is, btw, actually physically smaller that the previous 3tb drives and although it claims 5tb, it is actually 4.5tb. I reformatted it, as I do with all my hd purchases to get rid of the bloatware that I never use anyway.

Compact little external drive. This drive needs power so don’t share an unpowered hub with other drives. Drive made a clicking noise until I plugged into its own USB port after I read clicking is a common problem when drives share an unpowered hub.

I’ve most always used My Passport for backing up my photos. You plug it in, it’s ready to run, and unless you drop it really hard it’s going to keep on humming, even years later when you need to find that old image.

This is a must have. I keep all of my images and video files here to keep my MBP flying. Fast and no lag. Lightweight and noiseless
Misty Huels (verified owner) –
it worked, arrived in good time, and was very well packed.

So far so good. I have always had good luck with WD external hard drives. Easy to use, easy to set up. I upsized because I filled the 2 TB drive and wanted a second external drive to back up photos
Antonio VonRueden (verified owner) –
WD is always good and the price makes it great at B&H.

I got a Toshiba hard drive off of Amazon and it works well, but it is not very fast. I got this product at B&H and it is so much faster. The design is futuristic and stands out more than any other object on my desk. That’s why I gave it 5 stars. Thank you B&H, and thank you WD My Passport.
