This failed almost just two months of usage. Absolute no drop or any of the sort. It’s just stopped reading. I had high expectations of WD but was disappointed, just like others that failed too. Either I’m not lucky or WD is just pure garbage now. Sigh!! Time to find another option.

Broken out of the box. I didn’t want to fool replacing it. It probably would haven been great!

Easy to set up and use. Works exactly as you would expect

Well made. Designed for Mac Time Machine Use. What a breeze this was. All I did is hook it up to the USB port and click start. The rest was done. And, it came with a USB to HD cord that was very handy

I love the plug and play functionality of this hard drive very easy to setup and use. Its fairly small so it doesn’t take up much desk real estate at all either. The fact that it is 5TB is a plus as well. Very pleased with my purchase!
Whitney Prohaska (verified owner) –
I was hesitant to purchase this as in the past I purchased a 4gb drive that was extremely slow to load. Just the opposite with this drive it loads fast and it was easy to install.
Trace Gleason (verified owner) –
too slow for use as an editing drive, but works fine for archive.

I like these a lot. I’ve got a stack of them.

It’s not the fastest you can buy but a great value for the cost with lots of storage space.

Use it for back up of pictures off a laptop

Easy to format for use on both Mac and Windows computers. Took me just. a couple minutes to set up. Like the small footprint, light weight, and fact that it is bus powered. I will use it to store and backup photos I take when traveling, plus to store my music library for use when on the road.

I reformatted these as HFS+ which is required for Time Machine. I swap them weekly with a friend of mine so I always have one offsite. I appreciate the 3-year warranty.

Small, compact and portable. Many others are too. WD has been trustworthy for me and so far this is no exception.

As always B&H service and shipping was great. The product works as intended. B&H is becoming my go to for shopping with confidence.
