This drive clicks when connected to any computer and is painfully slow. It also doesn’t play well with MACOS.

Love em… Bought two, to archieve and back-up my rather large CD music collection (FLACK files). Great size, about the size of a cassette, or pack of cigarettes. So far, so good… Would definitely buy them again…

I wasn’t expecting to get this, but it’s perfect for what I need! Super secure and I’ll get plenty of use out of it. I like how small it is that way I can keep it travel ready. I’ve already had a few people ask me about it lol.

I am not computer savvy and am grateful that it was so easy to install and begin backing up. Id had an older one for 6 or 7 years that did the job, and finally died. Its death may have had to do with a sketchy port on my computer and Ill be getting a new computer soon. This passport does something else w/ cloud backup that I dont understand. One of these days Ill call WD to ask about it.

works perfectly well.

Love it. As a photographer I hate any extra clunky equipment. This is perfect and fast.

Nice build quality, WD did an amazing job in the design. I use this all the time to back up my Photos and Videos. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but this makes it very good for storing media on my little Camera shelf. And I love the color!! All around it is a pretty good harddrive. Good job WD!!!!!! Love the Drive.

I was able to transport a large set of photos with ease.

No problems with this unit which is big enough to store all my data.

Crashed after 4 months of use.

This drive is very handy for backing up files. It’s a good value for the storage size. For a 5600 RPM portable drive, it’s also fairly fast, and a noticeable speed improvement from the WD Elements.

I got this to be able to save a copy of my most important images offsite. It is great for this application. It seems smaller than my 1T WD Passports. It appears to be reliable (I always do a full scan and a full erase before using a new disk and it passed that OK). The speed is pretty good for a small rotational disk. The performance is adequate for archival backups. I wouldn’t use this for a working disk on my computer. I was so impressed I ordered another one.

Came with USB cable, plugged into USB3 socket, installed WD software that is on the drive, and backed up over half a terabyte onto it in a reasonably short amount of time. But, for true redundant backup, I think I need another!

Love The Western Digital Drives. I keep a small fan on all my drives and also regularly dust free air conditioned area. the cleaner the better, Drives by western Digital are Sealed to prevent dust from getting in. Superior construction. Nice equipment.

I’ve been using these for years and have had no problems with them . I love that I can shove it in a pocket and go .

This is a nice portable drive that I use for remote storage of my iTunes library and my photo library. Slow using USB 2 but with a new computer that supports USB 3, I’m sure that the drive will be fine. A good bargain for so much storage.

Nice, lightweight, easy to use. Had to reformat for my Mac, but no surprises there. Would purchase again.

These were on sale for $109, so bought a few Black 5TB drives and I already had a Red 4TB one, so I figured I’d never need to buy storage again. I was wrong. In the last month I’ve had a red 4TB drive and a black 5TB drive BOTH go bad. Useless bricks. I’m going to unload because I just don’t trust them anymore. Don’t buy these. They brick out half the time, or at least 2 of my 4 did.
