Store and take your important information with you while on-the-go using the 2TB Elements Portable USB 3.0 External Hard Drive from WD. With a capacity of 2TB, it can be used for additional storage or for backing up your videos, photos, music, documents, and other files. The Elements drive connects to your computer with a USB 3.0 port at speeds up to 5 Gb/s, is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 at speeds up to 480 Mb/s, and is formatted as NTFS so Windows 10, 8.1, and 7 systems will recognize it right out of the box. For Mac users, the drive can be formatted to work with Mac OS.
The Elements drive quickly backs up and retrieves files by utilizing USB 3.0 technology and draws power from a USB bus-powered port on your device, meaning that it requires no other additional external power source. The WD Elements drive is protected by a limited 2-year worldwide warranty and a micro-USB to USB Type-A cable is included.

One of the best decisions I’ve made for producing on my MacBook. Now I have more space to add more sounds and plugins to have a complete production session! B&H saved my life for this!

I’m backing up my PC external HD with this portable HD. I purchased it to also show my home video and pictures on my smart TV. Great unit!

There’s a part of me that gets a little nervous dumping a ton of footage and old projects on this thing. But it’s a decent back up hard drive if you need something to dump to and leave alone. I wouldn’t use this for any heavy activity. But it’s affordable enough if you need something in a pinch to place footage or photos on. It hasn’t failed me yet. But then again, I am already investing another hard drive to replace this one. I’m sure this will be a last resort drive.

I was getting close to filling up two one terabyte external hard drives that I used for primary and backup storage of my photo files. I found these four terabyte drives at B&H for a very competitive price, along with free expedited next day shipping. I couldn’t pass that up. I got the drives the next day and installation was a simple plug-and-play, with no need for formatting or installing any software. The drives are fast and take up much less room on my desk than the drives that they replaced.
