Very easy to use and just what I needed. It’s substantially larger than the other drives I was looking at and at a very comparable price. Bought on line … Love B&H!
Davon Erdman (verified owner) –
fast and reliable (so far). I use it only for BU, not as a system or realtime drive.
Reba Senger (verified owner) –
Needed a larger external drive for my TimeMachine backups. Searching for high quality and good value, found B&H. Easy ordering, fast delivery, great setup instructions for MacBook Pro. Not a single problem since.

I use external hard drive to save my photo files. This brand has proved to me to be the best of ones I have tried in the past.
Henderson Klocko (verified owner) –
I use it as a backup, it is quiet, inexpensive and fast enough.

Product works great. Easy to hook-up. Bought it to use with Time Machine on my Mac. I also partioned the drive into a section for Time Machine and 2 other partitions for manual storage. Works great.

I’ve owned several external hardrive before but this unit by WD stays the coolest of all the them. If you know a bit about external hard drives, they will heat up and, if overheated, potetially crash- I had it happen. This unit appears to have a cooling fan and even though I unplug my external hard drives when not in active use, I forgot to do it on this unit one night, but it was just as cool the next day. I’m pleased with the unit, so far.

Have bought loads of WD External HDs for extra storage, Time Machine backups etc. Work every time, no fuss plug n play, reformat for Mac your good to go. This was also an extra good buy @ US$59, was worth buying and freighting to New Zealand at that cost, a good saving compared to purchasing out here. Power supply no problems as they are multi voltage and another good reason to buy the same HD as can use NZ power supply or modify US supplied one.

I work on computers for a living. After I clean & optimize a system, I clone an image of the hard drive on an external drive. If my client gets reinfected or has a drive failure, I can have them up & running again in about an hour. Ths WD 3TB drive works perfectly for my purpose. It’s not fancy, just your basic black external drive. But like I said, it’s everything I need it to be. Took it out of the box, plugged it in and it worked.

Love this hard drive; easy to use and lots of storage. Unlike some competing drives, it does not try to take over your computer’s auto play. It backs up only what and when I want.
Katheryn Wisozk (verified owner) –
I got it cheap $ runs great and speedy.

Set up was easy and automatic. Will be used to clone (mirror)my computer and to archive all my photos and documents.

My husband has music on his iPad and iPhone. This slows down our computer. Great place to store Music

This is my 3rd WD Elemnts drive.. Simple, easy to use and reliable… Had too many problems with Seagate products.. WD seems to be more reliable so far… will see

I’ve had this drive for a couple weeks. So far, so good. I’m using it to back up video and photos, but not as a working drive because it is a little slow. It formatted with my Mac easily – you just have to visit the website that is provided in the box. No On/Off switch, but that hasn’t been a problem for me yet. Good drive.

Unit cannot be read, one time it reads fine then like it goes on vacation I cannot recommend this brand of external hhdHHD

Great product!

Anytime my Mac goes to sleep, the message comes up that the drive was not ejected properly. It’s a pain to use, but it does store my information.
Gerda Koss (verified owner) –
Great for backing up data.

Works perfectly for Time Machine backup.
