This HDD works well for me – gets about 1.8TB net space. No issues. The only minor drawback if you ask me would be that there is no on-off switch on the HDD – but, unless you connect the USB cable to your computer the HDD seems to be kind of a standby mode – so, didn’t have a problem with it.

Plug in and go. Great for my movies and music.
Breanne Schroeder (verified owner) –
I use it to store all my music, photo, video and genealogy information. I learned a LONG time ago (the hard way) to save the important stuff on an external hard drive. My old Seagate was full to the gills so I did some snooping and found the Western Digital 2TB and I LOVE IT! It is fast & quiet.

Not much I can say, having only used it for a few weeks. Works as described. I have used a lot of elements drives and they all seem to be solid.
Daphney Crist (verified owner) –
The disk is very quiet, does not get too hot, and reasonably fast.
Kellen Schiller (verified owner) –
We needed a simple hard drive to back up extensive amounts of media for a radio station. This works perfectly, and the price was right.
Monserrate Ullrich (verified owner) –
Great Hard Drive, the cost was good…

Its fast and has more than enough room, for more of our working files and to free up our poor work pc 3 in total, now I im going to have to get one more for personal use. I will allways use wd drives on all my pc.

I just started using this product and I’m very satisfied. So far is working great and getting every thing done.
Mireya Gutkowski (verified owner) –
I use this drive as a vault for music, video, pictures and code. Lots of storage space and the price is good. It’s very quiet and quick enough for whatever I’m throwing at it. This drive does require external power and has some weight to it which makes it less than ideal for portability. Not a con unless that’s why you’re buying it. I haven’t had it long enough to judge how long it will last. For use as a stay at home storage device, it’s perfect.
