Bought a Western Digital Drive!!! Price was good, very good and the unit performs as expected.. Very Fast!

This hard drive is an excellent solution for your extra storage. It is faster than expected, completely silent and inexpensive. It looks smaller than any other external 3.5” external hard drive enclosures I have ever seen. The only very minor inconvenience is that you have to keep all the 3 pieces together- the USB cord, the drive and the power cord. The cables would be easy and cheap to replace, if ever necessary as they are standard fare.

We have used WD external drives for years for our backup needs. A few years ago, we thought that 4TB drives were huge and would never fill them up, but it didn’t take long to push them to their limit with the amount of videos we produce. These 8TB drives from WD seem to be the best buy in the line and we hope to get a few years our of them before we need to upgrade again.

The HD works perfectly in a mac, you just need to format the first time you connect it. I really do not understand why there is a mac version of this same hard drive (which is more expensive) when you can get this one!

I use this product to backup my computer files; its large capacity will allow me many months of incremental backups without filling the disk. The 2TB elements is simple to install without take over software. After 1 month of service, I’ve encountered no problems

I had three WD Elements total (2×1.5TB,1×2.oTB) and they are all working great for me so far..

Formatting went by flawlessly on my MacBook Pro and backing up couldn’t be easier, just plug in and move. There is so much memory and then some. The Power adapter helps my USB hub find this hdd without fail, which isn’t the case for my USB powered hdd. Would definitely recommend this with is matte top and shiny sides. The actual size isn’t huge either. Its simply perfect and surprisingly quiet

It is a good brand at a great price.

At the price of this 3 TB drive, it is very, very cost-effective and the USB 3.0 connection makes it great as either a main image drive or for backup. Highly recommended.
Titus Watsica (verified owner) –
Bought several of these to use in my Drobo NAS. All worked flawlessly and were easy to shuck the shells without destroying the case so that they can be re-used for other USB drives.
Wyman Bayer (verified owner) –
I have used this style of Western Digital external drives for backup for years. They work great. Never had one failure.

Great external hd. Second WD hd that I’ve bought. After having serious issues with Seagate drives, WD will be my go to for hard drives.

I’ve purchased this drive to expand the storage of my Xbox One. Xbox One recognized it in a few seconds and formated it in 3 seconds (yeah only 3sec !). Absolutely silent. Very satisfied. Got it in sales. WD quality & reliability at an affordable price.

Cheapest of the present WD 3TB offerings. If you’re using a mac, it takes about a minute to reformat it using disk utility, and you’ve saved $+ off the factory pre-formated versions.

I use the hard drives to store music files and master recordings. I have used these for a few years now and am very happy with the product. It works fine with my Mac and no complaints overall.
Lolita Feeney (verified owner) –
Super fast transfere speed. Lots of space, so now I can put all of my data on one drive instead of a few.
Verna Effertz (verified owner) –
I have three of these now, reliable backups for files.
