The price was good, installation was simple, it’s working well- writing this about a month after beginning to use it, on a Mac Mini for video storage.

I have backed up my system with this drive, easy and trustworthy.
Anjali Fritsch (verified owner) –

Easy and quick start up.

If you ever shut your computer down than be prepared to wait 8 minutes when you start it up again. I got suggestions from B&H twice and WD 3 times on things to try, ie,change the bios, reformat the hard drive(took a whole day), and run a diagnostic test(15hrs). None of that helped even after installing all the latest bios updates. As I said earlier, If you never shut off your computer than this not a problem.

I use these for long teen archive drives. Small enough to stack and they have multiple terabyte options.

This is a great hard drive and so far has worked flawlessly. I use it primarily for backing up video files and for play-back on my WD TV Live media player. I highly recommend this item for its price and quality.

Purchased for all the Mac Pros in the office. Works great with Time Machine so far…in the 2 weeks we have put them to use. Very east to setup…pretty much a plug and play unit. Have a other WD products that have been just as wonderful.

Literally plug in and it’s ready to go. Tons of storage and an incredible price. WD all the way everytime.

I only use periodically to back up files. When I first turned it on, I ran it off and on for 2 days to load about 1.5TB onto it and it never got too hot, no noises, worked fine.
Damaris Luettgen (verified owner) –
I formatted to FAT32. Works great on xbox 360 and sony blu ray player.
Evans O’Kon (verified owner) –

I’m a photographer and had over a gig of images that weren’t backed up other than on my main machine… my drive was 75% full and was getting the dreaded blue screen of death on my machine fairly regularly… I always stressed out about losing that pictures. FINALLY I got this drive from WD… 3TB, and it’s super easy – plug-n-play. NEVER should have waiting this long!
