I’ll begin by admitting that we’ve been considering Drobo for months. B&H salesperson convinced me that although Drobo is a great sleek system we’d be better off and save some $$$ with these WD hard drives. So far were loving them. The loss in speed hasn’t been an issue at all. Good units. Great price, especially when they were on sale.

This is a 2 TB USB hard drive that holds literally all my video media. It’s fast, silent and works perfectly, I don’t even give it a second thought…which is really what an external hard drive should really be about. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a large, fast, quiet external hard drive, I already recommended this unit to all my friends, and have been thanked several times. So go ahead and take a chance on a sure thing!

Its very quiet and nice looking, and it works just fine, theres not much you can ask from a HD anyways! I would have added another type of connection besides the one USB 2.0.

this product is really good, it run fast as same as other brands. …

Good price. I use this to backup my server. Workswell, and very quiet.

These drives are packed well within an overbuilt plastic enclosure that is easily defeated using a slim tool to pry open. I’ve been buying these for a while from various sources to remove the drive inside for use as an internal desktop hard drive. The plastic shell and connectors get recycled.

I have had this for about a week and it is doing everything as expected, so far very happy

Great backup drive

I bought this as a back drive for my Time Machine and could’t be happier. It’s extremely quiet and fast. My previous back drive, was a My Book from WD. While it was also good, it was very noisy and had a vibration that was somewhat annoying. No vibration from the 2TB Elements…I don’t even know it is on! Very satisfied…also great price from B&H!!!

The external drives work as expected, the packaging was great and shipping was great.

I love this little guy. I have terabytes of work and with more than one, I can store copies at other locations. The small size and light weight makes carrying it around a breeze, and it survives when a cat knocks them over. I know that from experience. I would suggest it to friends.

great capacity and no very slow, easy setup …

Working well so far. Rreplaced a 7+ year-old WD external book, with which I never had any probs, either. . . for the most part. Old one was starting to have problems ‘waking’ after computer went to sleep. Thought I’d better replace my back-up hard-drive before it decided onto wake up at all. NO regrets.

large enuf yet still fast

I was looking for a solid external backup drive 2GB but $, which was not an easy task. But this fit the bill nicely, and has so far been exactly what I needed/wanted.

I have three (3) of these WD external backup drives, the oldest dating back nearly 8 years (it’s a 6 TB unit). All are still in use, which speaks to the reliability of this brand.

Can’t imagine filling it up. I said the same thing about the 20MB Drive I bought for my Atari 800 back in 1982. It cost me twice as much in 1982 dollars. At this rate a petabyte drive will cost $9.99 in 2022.
