Great for storing videos, fairly quick.

I purchased this drive to use with my Dish Network Hopper. It is working flawlessly so far. It is very quiet.

I love this External Hard Drive. It is compact, has plenty of storage space with 2TB, USB 2.0, simple to use, set-up, or take with you. The best part is that it is made by Western Digital who has been a top Hard Drive manufacturer for years. Long story short it is an awesome purchase!

This HD is excellent because you can store anything on it without flinching. The downsides to owning this product are that 1) it must be plugged into an external power source to operate and 2) it says two terabytes: however, the HD came with 1730 available. 200+ GBs I cannot use? abysmal. I’ll supplement the power requirement by using a USB. Wish I had the option though.

I’ve only had the drive for a couple of weeks, but it is working just as I expected. The 10 terabyte size gives me enough storage for all my docs and videos and audio files for at least a year or more. As usual, B&H got it too me quickly and in great condition.

So far (1 week) no problems, copied 300 gb several times and erased it then copied it again and again five times, reformatted 2 times and it’s working fine. Sometimes it gets a little slow, it took like 16 hours each time to format and it doesn’t seem to get very hot. I use it mostly to storage music and photos.

I own about 9 other external hard drives and must say that I absolutely love this drive. It’s fast, quiet, reliable has abundant storage space, and a great price

B&H does it right consistently! The price for my WD 8tb backup was great and it seemed like right after I clicked the completed order, the 8tb teleported to my front porch. THANK YOU B&H and now I can safely back up all of my 55k photos everyday and never worry about loosing them!

The drive meets my expectations and gives me a lot of extra space for storing photos. I have had very good luck with WD drives for a several years. The price for 8 TB was good.

I ran out of space on my 1 TB computer drive and needed external storage…. fast! I searched for a balance of reliability and cost. From my research, WD has a much lower failure rate than Seagate and the price wasn’t much higher. This 3TB drive was a nice balance of $$/TB, so I went for it. Plugged it in and it was recognized immediately! I will be using this primarily for photo storage and didn’t need password protection that the My Book offers, so I was able to save a few bucks there. I plan to store all my RAW files on here and use the Smart Preview option with Lightroom as part of my new workflow. I’m back in business! Thanks B&H and WD!!

Great disk, fast and very responsive. Fits well on my desktop. It works with 220 voltage. Only 4 stars because it says 4TB but it takes about 0.4 TB for system, and it have left 3.6TB avalaible for real.

I already had one of these WD 3TB hard drives, I bought this as a backup because the first one had worked so well. There was a bit of back-end tech stuff as the WD hard drives have the same naming convention, so at first only one of the hard drives would show up, I had to google the answer, but basically you need to rename the hard drive in MS-DOS, a quick work around but you do need to be somewhat tech savvy. Otherwise very happy with this so far.

Use this as a general backup for Audio and Video projects. It’s a great drive and Western Digital (knock on wood) has done me right over the many years I’ve been working with video and audio.

Reasonably priced Hard Drive that is easy to install. However, as a Mac user I had to go online to format and then reformat to increase the 4g file size limitation. If you have large video files this is a must. Directions should be clearer in this regard.
