I attached this to a brand new 27 iMac to increase the storage, and for Time Machine backups, etc. It was very easy to set up and is working perfectly for my needs. I love the size and portability of this hard drive. Have nothing but good things to say about this drive. I’ve always been partial to Western Digital drives and this one does not disappoint.

Ideal for travel and on the go backup for my MacBook Pro. Simple plug-and-play.

I love the portability of this hard disc drive. I have two hard disc drives for backup purposes. This small Passport for Mac is perfect for when I’m traveling and need to be able to make backups while I’m on the road.
Lavinia Lindgren (verified owner) –
This is a good drive for the money and has served me well in backing up all of my data.
Estell Hagenes (verified owner) –
It works as expected. It has a nice plastic build and it’s a little bit smaller than my old WD 3TB Passport. USB 3.2 G1 is the new way to tell us it has the same USB3.0 connection we used to know.

It was extremely simple to install and has worked perfect for me. I use a mid 2017 Mac and have had zero issues with it. Been using for quite awhile now and might be purchasing another WD Passport however, this time with more storage.

They have come a long way with external hard drives. Just arrived so maybe too early to know if I’ll run into any issues down the line but I am very happy I have a way to store a large amount of photos and music off my mac without messing with TimeMachine. Easy to use right out of the box. Great service from B and H as always.

I just use a few of these to back up my RAW footage from a recent production. I haven’t used them as working drives. The size is great! …even with the ‘Nomad Rugged Hard Case’. They fit nicely in an offsite safe. Large storage!

Us these drives all the time to backup workstations and server. Small, fast and reliable. Bonus No external power supply needed!

I’ve been using this HD for Time Machine backup on a Mac. It does its’ job without and problems. I’d buy it again.

Works like a champ!!

This is a nice portable drive that I use for remote storage of my iTunes library and my photo library. Slow using USB 2 but with a new computer that supports USB 3, I’m sure that the drive will be fine. A good bargain for so much storage.
Marina Jacobi (verified owner) –
The WD My Passport for MAC is so easy to use. No formatting required. I just took the compact external hard drive out of its box and plugged it into my MacBook Pro to backup. Files copied quickly and have plenty of storage left.
Aisha Schmitt (verified owner) –
Got it for backing up my computer files. Cheap memory for this type application.
Liza Bashirian (verified owner) –
Easy, out of the box ready. Plug and play. Easty to drag files. Convenient size and shape.
Brian McKenzie (verified owner) –
It could be a little faster, but it serves me well as my laptop’s main drive.
Rae Leuschke (verified owner) –
It was difficult to set up to do periodic back-ups.
