Designed for a variety of computing applications like gaming, HD media playback, creative software, and more, the 1TB Blue 3D NAND SATA III 2.5″ Internal SSD from WD is verified for use with a wide range of desktop and laptop computers with a 2.5″ / 7mm drive bay for faster system boots, application responses, and transfer speeds. This SSD operates with a lower average active power draw of 60mW and features a storage capacity of up to 1TB, a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, sequential write speeds of up to 530 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, random writes of up to 84,000 IOPS, and random reads of up to 95,000 IOPS. Also employed is 1.75 million hours MTTF (mean time to failure) and an endurance rating (lifetime writes) of 400 TBW (terabytes written).
With solid-state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Having no moving parts also means that SSDs receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. SSDs also help to deliver improved battery life and cooler operating temperatures. Protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty.

I previously rated this enclosure and gave it a 4 of 5 because the company left out the mandatory screws needed to secure the enclosure. Well that was before I tried to use it. This thing is a total piece of junk. When I finally got around to using it, it just doesn’t work. I installed the hard drive and it wouldn’t show on any of my computers (win 8.1, win7, and linux.mint) I installed 3 different drives and nothing showed up ever. Even though I could feel and hear the drive spinning. (which I was glad they didn’t send the screws making it easier to swap drives in the enclosure). Needless to say this will be going back and Sabrent will be added to my never buy again list.

I bought this as a secondary internal drive. It works fast and as it should. I have used WD products for many years and have never had a problem.

WD makes great products and I trust them. I got this for Atomos Ninja and I’m very happy with it. No issues.

At first I was a bit nervous to order from B&H since I’ve never ordered from here before. However, I was impressed seeing how the package came as if no one has ever touched it before.

Again, I have had excellent results with WD devices and this one is no different. Installed in a 2.5 SATA III housing, it makes for a very nice portable device. I would recommend it very much.

WD usually has the best deal. Very decent mttf and good price for this kind of product. Works flawlessly in atomos ninja V with an eos R. Side note, I have no way of filming 4k60p so I don’t know that it is fast enough for that. I’m sure someone else has reviewed it.

I record 4k60 c-log with this setup. It’s not perfect. There is a kangaroo here and there but it’s rare and the price is great. I don’t notice issues with the footage.

Installed this as a data drive (hand-in-hand with my NVME drive) and so far, it’s been fast and reliable. Way better and faster than my old HDD storage.

nothing much to say here. I bought this to put into a UDMA2 Colorspace. It works. enough said.

Affordable, fast and reliable. These work perfectly when recording 6k ProRes RAW with Atomos Ninja V.

I have always had excellent service from WD devices. This device was extremely easy to install and initialize using Windows 10 disk management. Installed into a 2.5 SATA III housing, it was pressed into service and is a nice addition to my computer system.

Installs easily. I don’t recomed the drive migration software that they offer it is not very good. It doesn’t have the tools most other migration software has. I used easeus. It’s not free but it works every time, at least for me.

Good size, good price, no complaints. Works with my Toughtech Duo.

I purchased this to replace a dying drive in my MacBook Pro (didn’t want to invest in a SSD since I’ll be upgrading to a new Mac before long and only wanted a temporary hold over). It works well for a MacBook Pro if you need a roomy, affordable, quiet, and decently fast drive that is also solid and reliable. It should give me plenty of more performance and reliability while I continue to use my MacBook Pro until I upgrade and extend the life of my MacBook Pro. It is a very cost effective way to breathe new life into one’s MacBook Pro.

Everything great!

Upgrading the hardware in my computer has made a huge change in its speed. I have a lot of pictures, music and saved documents. I am pleased with the storage space and would recommend this product. It does have a slight hum which might be noticed by someone who is very computer wise. I hardly notice it and most likely would not have had it not been pointed out.

Item arrived early and was exactly as described.

I also bought the e-SATA to USB-C cable with this SSD. This gives me a 1TB surplus of storage space to compliment the Mac Mini’s internal 500GB of storage. This is my third 1TB WD Blue SSD. They are generally used for file storage, while occasionally used for video storage and editing. They are great drives and very reliable.

As expected! Works just fine!
