They are precision blocks of iron for when you need the sizes or 90 degree angle precisely. For example, yesterday I clamped two pieces of wood to them while fastening with glue and screws to ensure the angle was correct.

Just got these 1, 2, 3 blocks from WEN and these are going to be fun. Normally used in machine shops for precise set-up, I also saw them used for setting up some woodworking applications. To me they appear flawless. They came in a plastic bag with paper wrapped arouind them that was soaked in some type of oil . After a quick clean-up I decided to Mic them just to see how accurate they were. My micrometer showed both of them exactly 1, 2, and 3 inches in size, and then I miced pairs and they were exactly 2, 4, and 6 inches in size. You can’t beat that. Now back to the shop.

*A good set of 321 blocks.*I had wanted a set of 321 blocks for the longest time after seeing how my friend uses them so when the opportunity finally arose I was ecstatic. For those that may be wondering what exactly these things are good for I’ll give you a few ideas yes I would implore you to do an internet search to see the many ways these little blocks can be of use to you.While they are generally intended for machinist work I mostly work with wood yet have found many instances where these blocks have been extremely useful.As far as what they are and what they can do well they are 2 blocks that measure 1, 2, or 3 inches depending on the side. They are very square on all sides and the measurements are very accurate. In addition they have equally tapped holes that will fit a bolt for multiple purposes, such as attaching them together. They can be great as a reference for your other squares and I especially like to use them with my table saw and miter saw when you can just set one or both of these down and get an exact measurement for cutting, weather it be depth or width. This really is just scratching the surface of their uses and again I suggest you do some research.As far as this particular set from WEN, I found no issues when comparing them to other offerings, the specs seem right on and I found no issues with functionality. Do note that regardless of who sells them, they are going to arrive an oily mess. No it wasn’t leaking out of the package or anything, in fact this product was packaged quite well. Just realize this is done on purpose as these blocks can and will rust easily.I can certainly recommend this product as I enjoy having them in the shop and have found no issues with them. What I would have liked to see is the manufacturer do a little something extra to separate themselves from the pack, such as including a compatible bolt and nut. In the end though I am just nitpicking and am certainly satisfied. Accuracy matters most and you get that with these. Give them a shot.

Bought to use with our table saw. Can get a range of very accurate spacings from 1inch to 6 inch. Can also get accurate right angle squares by joining 2 blocks one on top of the other together. Very Happy with the possibilities they can provide. Should have bought another set of them – probably will !

These came in a very flimsy box that was pretty much destroyed when it got here. There was no packing material at all. However, after I took the plastic off and cleaned up the grease, I didn’t notice any obvious damage. Moving over to the surface plate, I couldn’t get any feelers between the two. I guess that is a testament to the build quality. These are exactly what I need them to be. Tough, square, and flat.
