This assortment of bits, discs, brushes, drills and bands comes in an easy-to-organize carrying case, complete with onboard storage slots for each individual bit. Although this kit was created with the WEN rotary tool series in mind, the 1/8 in. shanks allow for compatibility with the majority of rotary tools on the market. This package includes 3 wire brushes, 3 nylon brushes, 3 sanding shanks, 12 grinding discs, 3 rubber wheels, 5 fiberglass cut-off wheels, 10 grinding wheel bits, 2 high speed steel cutters, 6 high speed steel twist drill bits (1/16 in., 3/32 in., 1/8 in.), 3 mandrels, 6 diamond-coated bits, 8 felt wheels (1 in. x 1/4 in., 1/2 in. x 1/4 in., 3/8 in. x 3/4 in.), two 80-grit flap wheels, 150 sanding discs, 76 cut-off wheels (1 in. x 1/32 in., 15/16 in. x 1/60 in.), 30 spindle sanding bands (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in. The overall quality of the various bits is high. On par with Dremel and much better than knockoffs you can find online.The price is also outstanding. You basically get at least one of every type of bit you will need and multiple cutting discs and scroll sanding discs which wear quickly. By comparison, long lasting non-wear metal cutting discs can cost $15 or more. For $10 more, you’re getting dozens of cutting discs plus everything else.The case is also seemingly sturdy. It keeps bits organized and retains them well. The clams should hold up to abuse. Not sure about the hinge. That will require longer term testing.The case also has a handle which snaps back into place when not in use, two handy nail slots for mounting and a solid sliding clasp to keep it closed.It loses one star because, as received, a plastic bit retainer in the top half was broken and several more had hairline cracks. As a result, a bit was loose. Gluing the broken piece back into place with pro loctitie super glue pro (available at HD) completely fixed the issue. The plastic that retains the bits in the top half appears to be of a lesser quality than the shell itself.This is a very minor criticism. At this price point, the bits could come in a shoe box. Thus a five star value.Also important to note is both Wen and Home Depot have excellent customer service.

It’s definitely worth it for the money, I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 is because it could have had more polishing bits. I wanted just a few more soft polishing bits after sanding.

It contains a wide variety of rotary tool accessories for sanding, cutting, grinding, scaling…pretty much anything that one would care to do with a rotary tool (sans special attachments). You simply cannot beat the price. To purchase all of these accessories separately would be prohibitively expensive. I typically purchase products of the highest practical quality and made in the USA, but these items are expendable so as long as they suit one’s purposes, my opinion is that no more money or effort need be spent.

I just got this in, so I’ll have to withhold judgement on the quality of the accessories, but for the price you could only just a few of the accessories and get your moneys worth.The case was a nice addition when buying, but it really doesn’t retain the accessories well (several won’t stay in and one of the smaller drill bits was missing when it arrived). The thing that saves the case is that it has keyhole mounts on the back, so I just mounted it near my workbench where I could just open it against the wall quickly.

This is my first time getting a WEN product but after using this one I know it won’t be the last. This handy set has about everything to meet your rotary tool need. I have enjoyed using this set around the house and in my shop. There are many different items that I have yet to use but I know that I am going to enjoy using and experimenting with each one. I can’t see anyone going wrong with this purchase.

Case is not useable. Bits and pieces fall out of their places and the clamshell has large enough gaps that they fall out of the case entirely, including during shipping so be sure to check the shipping box before tossing. The attachments themselves are good for the price.

This kit has practically every rotary tool bit you may ever need from cylindrical to round. It has a great selection and includes multiple sanding discs as well. These include flat discs as well as round sanders along with numerous mandrills to hold them. Also included are the collets to hold the various thickness of the shaftsAll of these bits are stored in case with a clear top for viewing as well as secure holders for all the bits.

This is a review of Wen’s Model #230282A 282-piece Rotary Tool Accessory Kit.Pros: extremely compact case, with see-thru lid [though the WEN sticker covers 20%]; wide assortment … enough cut-off discs to last a while; five mandrels, two of which are rubber core for the sanding sleeves; four collets; buffing wheels of various sizes and shapes; one wrench; Cons: no descriptive insert [you better know what’s what or be prepared to experiment … e.g. are those six side cutters or only two with four drill bits … I think it’s the latter]; what grade is that polishing rouge? And why the 1/4″x1/4″1″ honing block?Summary, a great addition for any hobbyist.Count: 4 collets; 5 mandrels; 14 grinding bits; 2 side cutter bits; 4 drill bits; 10 grinding stones; 9 wire brushes; 32 sanding sleeves [two sizes]; 8 buffing pads [four sizes]; 12 sanding stones for the mandrels [two grits]; 1 80 grit sanding wheel … and the rest abrasive cut-off discs.

I’m a long time rotary tool user and when I saw this accessory product being offered, I was all-in. Over the years I’ve bought and used many rotary-tool abrasive and drilling products, so to find a set that included the gambit of tools that this one offered, was great to find. The tools and bits were nicely presented in the case and accessible through a compact hinged storage arrangement, making the nested tooling levels accessible. The only complaint I had was that the grinding wheels and some of the tools were held in place with plastic retention clips that held them too tight, with no way to fit your fingers into the space to remove the tools and bits. I found that it helped me to include a pair of sturdy tweezers in the case to get the accessories out. Overall, the abrasive products in the case are excellent and the assortment and value of the set is great. Other similar product lines from another name brand manufacturer, do not include the variety and value of this set. You won’t be disappointed in this tool set.

This accessory kit has a wide variety of bits to use on any project. I use the rotary bits in my cordless rotary tool for small/med craft projects that I tinker with and find using the tool more often because I have the bits to complete the project.
