A little background: I had a cordless rotary (different brand) that I didn’t like because it didn’t last long enough. It finally died. I looked online & compared corded rotary tools. Was going to buy a cheap one from a different store. Had bad reviews. Then I found this one online at Home Depot. So far so good! I am learning how to carve using a rotary tool & bits. I noticed a few people complaining about the flex shaft. Let me tell you a secret: Follow the instructions. You will have less problems. The features that stand out the most: It is corded. Flex shaft is a great! Love the variety of bits that come with this tool. The case is good. No problems there. Easier to change out the bits than my old rotary. That’s a plus. I noticed people are complaining about the quality of the bits. I have lots of extra bits from my old tool that fit it. No worry there. I have had this Wen Rotary tool less than a week. I use it for several hours each day while learning how to carve wood. Wen Rotary Tool definitely meets my expectations. If you are going to be using a rotary tool for several hours each day, go with a corded tool like this one. Just follow the instructions & don’t force the rotary tool.

The kit was an extraordinary value with the flex shaft. The tool I replaced with this one was a little more than a 1amp motor. A little stronger than this one. For light jobs it works fine.
