I bought this tool primarily to sand a small area of the house. Time will tell if this tool will last but I will not be using it on a regular basis, maybe for sharpening some blades everyone and then. It served it’s purpose and I am glad I bought this instead of the more expensive Dremel.

You know what a “Dremel” is. You don’t hear “Variable Speed Rotary Tool” very often, but that’s what a Dremel is, and that’s what this is. Except it’s cheaper, and more powerful. But will it work for you? Can you live with a “No-name” tool that works better than the Brand name? The fatal flaw the Wen 1.3 Amp WEN 1.3 Amp “Variable Speed Steady-Grip Rotary Tool” has, if any is its size. It’s larger than most Dremel tools. It has to be. It has a bigger, more powerful motor. Not a lot bigger, but perhaps 25%. The tools and accessories the Wen comes with are a STEAL of a deal at its current Home Depot price. Even if you just wanted a Flexible shaft and grinding tools, cutting disks, for your current “rotary tool” and never planned to use the Wen itself, lol! But you will. This is a “Dremel” on steroids. It’s got a pistol grip for better control or two-handed operation. It’s going to move SOME of the jobs you would have previously used a jigsaw or or Hackzall down into “Variable Speed Rotary Tool” territory. Summary: This “No-Name” Variable speed rotary tool is a beast, a Dremel on steroids. It won’t fit into SOME of the tight places you’d normally take a Dremel, but it will cut, grind, … circles around less powerful Dremels where there is room to swing it. The price is right and the accessories that come with make it a no-brainer.

Works great. Just cut a half inch steel bar with it. I have sharpened gaps out of rough lawnmower blades. I have etched glass with it. Love the carrying case and the multitude of accessories. The flex shaft is high quality and more power than any dremel I have ever used. I would definitely recommend. Great product!
