With eyes wide open, I bought this unit to service individual machines located in places in my shop inconvenient to reach with ducting from a central dust collection system, and I intend to buy more of these. That said, they are very loud and only capable of handling fine dust, as from a table saw or sander. To handle larger chips, such as generated by a planer or router table, they can be used successfully, but only if you insert a Dust Deputy type cyclone and container in between machine and the Wen unit. But I intend to do exactly that. All in all, IMO their compact size and super low price makes these units a great value.

I would give it 5 stars if it would fit over 4” PVC pipe. I had to shrink the end of the pipe to fit it, otherwise it works great.

Hose is fine would have given it a 5 star except it is a left hand spiral vs all my others which are right hand (or the other way around) which means all my spiral hose clamps don’t fit.

I bought this hose to accompany my WEN 3401 5.7A 660 CFM Dust Collector. It fits well and is a bit heavier than I expected which should contribute to its durability. It is steel wire reinforced, yet smooth enough on the inside to avoid dust accumulation on inside the inside surfaces to a significant degree.

Clear design helps spot blockages, it is universal build (4inch) fits most other brands of dust collectors.I use it on the wen 3403, so we can run the hose to a table top dust collector and/or to other equipment without having to move the collector from on spot to the next. We also have the 10ft as the 3403 has a split intake adding to collection of dust. Example being my miter saw has an 1 1/4 tube to a dust bag, so we have an adapter ‘Y’ with a 1 1/4 tube in place of the bag, a 16×16 collector with the 4 inch connected below the table and the second 4 inch directed on the top of the table. With 1500 CFM, there’s nearly no clean up needed outside of small chips.In short, great hose, nicely designed and easy to store when not in use.

I am very happy with the Wen Universal Dust Collector Hose. There is no static discharge and no saw dust clinging to the hose when using it with my Wen Dust Collector. It is easy to attach and cinch on with a hose clamp. The inside of the hose is fairly smooth so the dust passes through without clinging. I plan to get at least one more ten foot section of this hose, cut it up, and have it connected to individual machines from 4″ metal duct piping.

This dust collector really sucks! It had all the hardware to assemble it. I had to put some duct tape around a part of the lower plastic bag because it leaked dust out where the clamp connects but that was easy and fixed the problem. I can run my power planer without noticing any dust in the air. It is a little loud.
