honestly ive seen a few negative reviews on this and i just don’t understand it. for an entry lathe this is all i could ask for and more! Sure you’re not going to be turning table legs on this but for handles, pens and other small items this does the job with ease and really gets your foot in the door with how you feel about turning and learning the ropes. All without breaking the bank and taking up half your shop space

I have not been able to use this extensively yet, but so far I am very happy with the lathe. It is very sturdy. Everything locks in and stays tight. The variable speed control is a nice feature so you do not need to move a belt around on pulleys.

Easy instructions how to put together. I noticed the level clamping adjuster tends to loosen when I rest my chisels on the rest, to fix the problem, I adjusted the clamp so when i tightens, it’s in the 3 Alcock position if you understand my meaning, fixed it to my bench to stop vibration. Great buy.

Because I’m a mother of two kids I’ve only used this a few times since getting it but It’s smooth and very easy to use. Great for beginners or turning small ring dishes or spice bowls. The Nova G3 chuck fits onto this lathe without an adaptor.

I would say -excellent –as a hobbyist / home wood lathe. It is a bit light weight. Not a great deal of power compared to a full size shop lathe, but an excellent choice for the home / beginner. I purchase it as a gift. Reports are that it does everything expected of it.

This is my first lathe and it’s great to learn on… I’d buy it again for sure.Only downfall is if you order it thru Home Depot is that they won’t let you pay with CASH and you have to use a credit card….( I didn’t know cash wasn’t any good anymore….) Shipping was super fast and shipped right to my front door….

I would recommend this product for beginners. Is is worth the price. The only negative is that it doesn’t come with the mounting bolts and it doesn’t tell you the size you need. We had to go online and google to research and find out. Unfortunately, we bought it as a Christmas gift for our teen son and couldn’t just run out and get bolts on Christmas Day.

For starting out this is a perfect machine. My only issue with it so far is when the two spindles are meet up with each other with no stock to check alignment they’re off about a 1/16 of an inch. For what I’m doing this doesn’t bother me. Other then that, I think it’s great.
