I am new to the world of woodworking and the use of a lathe and for that reason I think this is a great product. The instruction manual is written for the beginner and even has some humor in the instructions – see attached picture. The instruction manual does a good job of describing all the components and the proper method for assembling the lathe along with good diagrams. The manual even includes a template for mounting your lathe to your work table. The unit is reasonably priced and comes with every thing you need to get started – except for the wood and your cutting tools. The motor is quiet and runs smooth. I found some good instruction videos on the internet, so as soon as I get my wood and cutting tools, I will be ready to go !

As a first time user of lathes – it was easy to “put together” and use.
