The lathe extension bolts (screws) nicely to the main lathe bed. However, the live center does not slide easily across the joint between the two sections. The securing bolts need to be completely loosened and the lathe extension jiggled for the live center to cross. Then I have to re-tighten the bolts to keep the extension attached. This also must be accomplished to reposition the live center back.I would think that all parts would fit perfectly together. Due to the location of the bolts (directly beneath the lathe bed), loosening them every time a different size project is begun is beginning to become bothersome.

Well built and heavy lathe extension. Lathe can now do table legs, etc. Machining looks nice. The only downside is that the lathe stand I have does not extend far enough to handle the lathe and extension. I built a wood top for the stand that extended far enough to handle the extension.
