The WEN 6 Amp Variable Speed Orbital Jig Saw glides through wood, metal, plastic and more, making any pattern or contour easy to achieve. The variable speed dial adjusts the stroke of the blade anywhere from 800 to 3,000 SPM. Attack wood up to 4 in. thick and metals up to 3/8 of an in. The onboard support selection lever helps adjust the strength of the blade to match the density of the cutting material while the lightweight 5 lb. design limits fatigue during operation. Easily bevel the bottom footplate up to 45° in either direction for angled cuts in your work piece. The lock-on button temporarily holds the trigger in place to alleviate the stress of keeping the trigger engaged during long jobs. Make blade changes and installation faster than ever with the tool-free quick release chuck. The onboard tool storage system ensures that any necessary hex wrenches are always close while the rear-mounted dust port allows for attachment to the dust collection device of your choice. This WEN 6 Amp Variable Speed Jig Saw was easy to handle and operate and I will definitely recommend it to woodwork lovers on lighter jobs. Cutting through 2×4 with this saw was possible but make sure to set the saw to a slower speed. To adjust the cut angle is relatively simple by adjusting a couple of screws and there is a quick release for blade changing, too. Overall, this is a very capable little tool for common woodworks and more.

Excellent tool, great value. Has most of the bells and whistles of much more expensive big brands. Variable speed, selectable blade approach, miter cut, and “T” type blades. Good solid feel and good weight. Easy to control. A super value for hobbyist/diy. Built well, suspect it would stand up as well as more expensive brands in daily use.

Seems to be a good tool. Note: I didn’t expect – the saw has a tool-free blade mount, which need special blades. They include one wood and one metal blade, so I could start using it, but I will be throwing out about 20 standard blades, and need more new types. $$$ More expense.

Its my opinion that everyone needs a handheld jigsaw like this. They are so very handy. Great for home projects or Architectural models in school, they are very versatile and a go-to tool. This one is accurate, light and quick. I have used them to cut bass wood, balsa, drywall, hard woods and pretty much every type of material – save metals – around. Excellent tool.

This is a must have tool for all DIYers. The jigsaw is capable of cutting through wood, metal and plastic. The blade on the jigsaw is very easy to install and change out as needed. There is a 45 degree bevel feature in both direction for more complex cutting. Lock trigger feature is nice if doing long cuts. I definitely would recommend this saw to anyone.
