The foot needs to be constructed so that it is not so flimsy so the blade is exposed with out a lot of effort. The vac hose kinks very easily reducing suction. Expected better quality from my past experiences with WEN.

This I think is my 4th or 5th WEN tool and I couldn’t be happier. I watched a Youtube video of a few of these and to me this beats them all hands down. First it comes in a great carrying case with storage for the saw, the three included blades and a very long exhaust tube with an end to fit most small shop vacs. When I want to do a quick, small job, I will grab this rather than my larger 7.25 circular saw. Blades included are for wood, and this blade is sharp. Just inspecting it almost caused injury. A blade for light metal and plactic, and one for tile. I can’t imagine needing anything else for the small jobs. Two minutes to pull it out of the case, hook up the exhaust hose, and you are ready to go.

very large saw! , not very compact and not user friendly with the safety controls, for it to be used in tight spaces is impossible, a 6″ skill saw might do a better job, I think that a smaller saw is available I personally wouldn’t have bought it if I new it was so large and awkward to use !

The saw works beautifully but the laser’s switch is too easy to bump into either position. The laser on/off switch should have more positive detents. I didn’t use it intentionally but it got bumped on and ran the batteries dead already.

It was a little larger than expected, but someone had made a similar comment. The smaller bottom plate (that I am sure all compact saw have) made it a bit more difficult to guide. I used it to cut PVC decking and I really had to hang on to it as it would easily rotate (slide).
