I have to say for the money this is an amazing tool. I had an old Craftsman, which was great but it was so old that you could not adjust the depth of the cut. Tried to buy a new foot, but no go and even if I could get one to fit it cost more than this entire saw. Cuts great and easy to adjust angle and depth. With a fine tooth blade its like cutting butter. I’d buy it again.

WEN just keeps putting out great tools!! And this 12 Amp 7-1/4 in. Sidewinder Circular Saw with 2-1/2 in. Cutting Depth is just another great example. I have an old 7 1/4″ worm drive saw that weighs a ton and I wanted something a lot lighter and this saw from WEN fit the bill completely. With it’s 12-mp motor it has more then enough power to get the job done. The design makes it very comfortable to hold and have complete control of the saw. Setting the depth of cut and angle of cut is very simple and easy to do. The saw weights in at only 8.7 pounds making using it very easy on the hand and arm. It also comes with a rip guide for making those straight cuts a snap. It comes with a 24-tooth blade for general cutting and ripping jobs. I really like this saw and it will get a lot of use. One other thing I like about this saw is it comes will an exhaust port so you can connect it to your shop vac to help with keeping the saw dust under control. And being a WEN product it comes with a 2-year warranty that you probably will never have to use.

My original Skil Saw circular saw had gotten to the end of the road and was time to put it to pasture. Being a DIY guy and not a pro, I just needed a good saw with sturdy features to do small jobs around the house. Easy adjustment for blade height and blade angle make this saw a good deal. An easy feel grip made of rugged material, and a side exhaust, are only a few of the benfits of this over a metal bodied saw. This will easily replace my Skil Saw with no offence to the Skil folks.

Fantastic for diy projects. Obviously changing the stock blade makes it that much better. So far so good. I’m impressed with it.

For the price it is a very very good deal, not heavy, easy to use it, it also come with an enough long electrical wire to plug it. It’s much more than I expected for making home works!! PS. Obviously you need to use it with the necessary safety.

I have been limping by with an 18 volt 5″ trim saw, while it has seemed to serve the purpose I have pushed it to it’s limits several times. Sometimes you just have to go back to good old electric power. I chose to try the WEN 7 1/4″ saw. It is not the least expensive or most expensive in this category. This is a “sidewinder” style saw vs. a worm or hypoid gear type saw (which are similar). This type of saw is compact and light weight, about 8.5 lbs. You give up torque under high load situations, but in my case cutting 4″ x 4″ posts and 3/4″ plywood and using a rough cut blade it has not been an issue. This saw is a combination of molded plastic, magnesium ?, and a steel base plate. The adjustment knobs are molded plastic too. I like the 90 and 45 degree line of cut notches on the front of the base plate. I have noticed being ride handed that the safety lock button is easier to control than when using the saw left handed. With a sidewinder you have a little better line of site using the saw left handed. Ambidextrous safety lock button anyone. I don’t use the depth guide bracket settings, hard to see, everything is black. The dust port and adapter was nice when using in the garage attach to a small shop vac. This seems to be a good saw for the DIY person or even if your in the trades. The saw just comes in a cardboard box, no case, I know, it would add to the price. But now I can build my own custom case with my new saw.

Saw was nicer then I expected. Build quality is solid, some knobs are plastic but so are everyone else’s. Saw cut evenly and straight. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great circular saw. Well weighted and the weight is distributed well, as it sits in your hand. The included blade is good for general purpose cutting (I used it to cut some wafer board) and the cut was straight and even, right out of the box. The cord is well placed and long enough without getting in the way. The guard moves very well and didn’t get caught up with debris. The dust port adapter is a good idea but I’m not sure I’ll use it. The rip-cutting guide doesn’t store on board and neither does the allen wrench but those aren’t deal breakers for me. All in all- a good saw.

Wow, what an amazing saw! I never knew they came this small and lightweight. As a woman and someone with chronic back pain, I dread using heavy tools for all of my projects. I saw this and knew it would be easy to handle and just the right size for all my projects. I like the adjustable rip guide and the dust port adapter. Wen has great warranties on their products and this one has a 2 year. Yeah. Thank you for this great handy saw.
