Remember when your scroll saw could cut in 2 different directions. Take on the most intricate and artful cuts with the WEN 16 in. Variable Speed 2-Direction Scroll Saw. The 9/16 in. stroke saws through hard woods up to 2 in. T. Adjust the speed anywhere from 550 to 1600 strokes per minute with the simple turn of a knob. The cast iron base prevents vibration and walking during operation while the spacious 16 in. x 10 in. table bevels up to 45 for angled cut. The adjustable air pump clears saw dust from your work area to give you a clear line of vision as you cut. This combined with the 1-1/2 in. dust port keep your work area clean so you can focus on your woodworking. The saw also includes a hold-down foot clamp for securing your project in place along with a flexible work light that bends and adjusts to whatever position your heart desires. This unique blade holder accepts both pinned and pinless blades while also allowing users to change the direction of their cut to accommodate their particular workpiece. for pinned blades, simply pop the pins out of the front holder and turn the blade 90. Now, your cuts are no longer confined by the 16 in. throat of the scroll saw. On top of that, our removable pinless blade holder design tightly grips blades to prevent them from coming loose during operation. Onboard blade and holder storage creates simple organization solutions between jobs.

Works great. Nice options. The vacuum connection gets 90+% of the shavings produced.

Works great, had a problem with the speed control and when sent a new board and control right away. No hassels, and they already had my info on file for the warrant.

This is my first scroll saw and I really like it. I’ve used it for several projects and it worked just fine. Leveling the table was no problem.

Cuts great. Even mounted to a table, it vibrates a little more than I wish. Also, the pinless blade part of this leaves much to be desired. But for the price, I am happy with the purchase. It is a good value for what you pay.

I have had this Saw for about a week now. Gave it a real test cutting 3/4 inch pine into yard ornaments. It handled the curves very well. Would recommend it to everyone looking for a nice saw to do scrolling.

I’ve done three projects with this saw. A puzzle and two grand-kid names. I got very good results in 3/4 inch white oak. I fastened the saw to a board with screws and then clamped it to my work bench. It still vibrates a bit but not enough to affect the work.

Not a bad scroll saw for the money.

This is a great running saw with no vibration when mounted on a stand. The accompanying pinless blade holders work well. I like mine better than a Porter Cable I have that cost three times as much.

The saw performed exactly how I expected and was surprisingly quiet I live in a small apartment on the fifth floor and don’t want to disturb my neighbors when using my saw it was all there and in tact I haven’t had the time to use it that much but I’m sure it will be fine for the type of work I have planned for it good price and performed well I can’t expect anymore than that and to the company that made it Good on you mate Jonny from South East Village

I’ve owned a Delta 40-540 scroll saw for ten years and I loved it. Unfortunately the control board went out, and it was going to cost me $150 for the part to repair it. I decided to put the money towards a new saw instead, and after a lot of surfing the web and reading reviews, I landed on this unit made by Wen. I paid only $110 for the saw, so my expectations were not very high. Once I received it, it didn’t take long to realize the difference in quality vs my old Delta unit. My Delta saw was much better made with much better material and even performed better. I’m not knocking my new Wen saw, because it’s not a fair comparison. It’s a great beginners saw and it’s affordable. The fact that it’ll get the job done is all I really wanted. It works fine for my home garage. I recommend it for that purpose.
