Very happy; Out of the box, I used it to cut handgun grips, out of 1 inch rough cut walnut, harvested from my woods, drying in my barn 5 years. Yes, it was hard wood.

in the short time i have had the wen-16 vs speed scroll saw i have only used it 2 times and compared to the 25 year old replaced unit it is more superior in every way but i don’t think i can rate the wen-16 relative to my time of use. i will be able to do that at a later time. i do think the air flow that clears away the dust needs more engineering

Scroll saw came ready to use and works great!

I’m love this saw but I wouldn’t say it’s “easy” access to change blade as quickly as I thought. But overall, does the job right!

The unit was solidly packed and simple to use. I have scrolled up to 2” inch balsa and basswood without any issues.

I have never used a scroll saw befor. It was easy to use. I did not rate excellent because the air hose keeps coming loosely

Performs extremely well as does all the Wen tools I have.

My first scroll saw! I was pleased with the ease of set up. Made my first complete cut out without breaking the blade! So far it seems to be well worth the money.

One very handy little saw. For years I have been putting off getting a scroll saw, trying to compensate by making several cuts with a band saw and then filing something to final size. No more. With the WEN scroll saw, now I can cut circles, odd shapes, wood, plastic, or metal, at even acute angles without having to make continuous cuts or final manual shaping to fit my project. The saw comes completely assembled. After a few minor tweaks to ensure the table was level and square to the blade, adjusting the blade guard foot, and the sawdust blower, she was ready to go. The variable speed is also handy, depending upon the thickness and material you’re working with and it comes packaged with three blades.

Needs to be bolted down to reduce vibrations – the black circular plastic plate rattles a tonThe saw is perfect for cutting balsa and 1/4 inch plywood.

This is my first scroll saw and I love it. Everything I read was true. It performs great and if I had to do it over again I’d purchase another one hands down. Thanks Wen for a great product.

Love the topless blade change. Miss the blade storage. Seems smaller and alot noiser than the previous model. Works great so far.

Bought it for my wife she really enjoys it only thing is I thought it came with a light and it did not

Didn’t like the way the unit held the blades, if you slightly over tightened the tension-er the blade would pull out of the holder. Note same system is on the new Ryobi as well. I spent more money and bought the Jet brand.

This scroll saw does the job, but in order to use it properly and safely it needs to be clamped down or it will jump around when cutting. It’s the reciprocating arm connecting the blade with the motor that provides the excess vertical motion. The saw has 3 rubber mounts to attach to a base, THEN it’s easy to clamp the base. It’s worth the effort because then the operation is smooth and almost vibration-free.
