Much simpler to assemble than other saws I looked at. Easy to use.

I recently purchased this saw and I was shocked at how well it was made. I am not a professional woodworker but this was just the right fit for my shop. The base is also very nice but I am 6′ tall so this was a little small for me….recommend that it be mounted on a shop table

Love this band saw. The blade that comes with it is junk, but once you put a good blade on it, it works fantastically. I wish there had been an option for a metal miter gauge instead of the plastic on that comes with it. We use our WEN to saw logs into boards, and to make bouldering holds and other shapes.

I’ve only had this saw for a few weeks but I use it every to rip hardwood. Now take in mind that in not a professional woodworker by any means but I’ve this is my second saw(first was a 7″ Porter cable). The instructions are very vague and if it wasn’t for YouTube I would be completely lost when it comes to adjusting to optimal performance. Getting the blade tension set perfectly is frustrating to say the lease. Not to mention that after only a few weeks of use, the plastic lock for the tension adjustment broke. I contacted customer support via email and have yet to hear back from them(it’s been a week). The work light that comes with it is way too bright and blinds you. On the positive side, the motor is very powerful and the fence is pretty accurate.definently an upgrade from the previous POS that I had but still feels lacking after some use.if you have ample time to fiddle with it and some knowledge of band saws then you may have better luck dialing it in(I’m still working on it). Also the thrust bearing seems to be already worn out. I’m not sure of the life expectancy of bearings in this type of equipment but I’m sure it’s more than a few weeks. Now it makes an awful squealing noise when cutting the softest of wood. I found the stand that comes with it to be flimsy and with the torque of the machine caused it to wobble. I mounted it on a pretty heavy homemade stand with casters and still, more wobbling. I would suggest mounting it on a fixed stand attached to a structural member(wall stud) in giving four stars because of it’s initial performance but it doesn’t seem to be holding up. I’m going to replace the bearings and mount it on a solid surface and give it another go. Another thing that I don’t like is the blade length. It takes a 70.5 ” blade which seems to be an odd size that the big box stores don’t carry. More of an incoveniance than an actual problem I suppose. If you don’t have any experience with band saws, you may have to call a buddy who does to help set it up. Other than that, it’s a decent machine for the price. I wouldn’t count on costumer service to help with anything though.

Looking to upgrade from a 9 inch or bandsaw you will not out grow, this is it. Well made, the work light and stand is a plus. Nice set go guides, no tools required to make adjustments. Has a unique dust port connection, someone was thinking..The light can be a bit on the bright side, an adjustment would be a nice improvement. Can be hard to find, good reason for that.

Great little saw! Perfect for small home shops. The only limitations would be the size of the project, but for me it has been the perfect tool. Wish I had bought it years ago!

Came set up with a blade installed and worked fine right away. Very quiet. Just had to assemble the stand, which was a piece of cake. So far so good.

Its an excellent machine with simple handling and maintenance. I am using it as a meat cutter saw excellent in personal use. Except its blade which slips that too is I think my fault. But a very good simple to operate machine. Hats off

So far, so good. I’ve only had this saw for a few weeks and I’ve done limited cutting on it so far, but I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen.I’m a hobbyist, not a pro, but I do make furniture. I’ve used it to make tenons and to do some light re-sawing – both on cherry. The manual is just OK, but the on-line videos really help with setup and adjustment. Once I got it dialed in, the tracking is excellent!Would definitely recommend this saw to another hobbyist.

The machine is working great so far with the stock blade. Any complaints I have are almost certainly from user inexperience (like a drifting or stalling blade when resawing a 6in walnut board). Instructions are clear and easy to follow…I just have to read them more carefully!

My previous bandsaw was a 40 year old Craftsman. This WEN bandsaw is very smooth and very quiet. Easy to assemble. The fence and guides are awesome

Product is as advertised. Easy to set-up. Runs smooth and quietly. May be a little under-powered for cutting thicker or hardwood materials.

I had a number of band saw cutting jobs lined up before I set up my new 10″ Wen band saw including some long cuts in 2.25″ thick cedar. Happily the machine took care of them all effortlessly. The stand was straightforward to set up, the provided lamp worked well and the machine needed no adjusting to begin cutting right away. I am happy with my purchase.
