Remember when power tools were actually powerful. The WEN 14 in. 2-Speed Band Saw is the perfect companion for any workshop. With a 9.5 Amp motor and a 13-3/8 in. throat, this beast will attack boards up to 8.85 in. D and 13-3/8 in. wide. 2-speed operation allows for speeds of either 1420 FPM or 3280 FPM. The design of this saw uses 100-3/4 in. blades anywhere from 1/8 in. to 1 in. in size for a variety of both intricate and powerful cuts. The spacious work table measures in at 21-1/2 in. x 15-3/4 in. in size and can be swiveled up to 45. This package includes a flexible work light to illuminate the worktable, a 3-in-1 dust port to fit a variety of dust extractor hoses (1-3/4 in., 2-3/4 in., 4 in.), a sawdust collection drawer, a fence for creating perfectly straight cuts and a miter gauge for angled cuts. The onboard circle cutting guide helps create perfect circles and curves up to 32 in. Dia. The upper housing includes a small window to reveal a blade tension gauge. This gauge helps properly identify whether a blade has the correct tension given its particular width. The easy-to-assemble stand elevates the band saw without sacrificing space on the shops work bench. Ball bearings give the blade smooth operation and a long lasting life for years of dependable service. Easy to assemble and cuts like a dream. The fence leave something to be desired but for the price you can’t really complain. Only con I can really say is that it doesn’t have a standard 3/4″ miter slot so it makes it hard to buy aftermarket

Considering the price point I’m fairly happy with it. The only issues I’ve noticed are the stock blade is fairly cheap and will need to be replaced, but ok for now, and the light won’t stay in position. Has more vibration than I would like, but not excessive.

Lots of power. Of course, if you chose this saw, you are in need of the massive resawing capacity. Here’s a tip, no matter your purpose; order specific blades needed from 3rd parties like Timber Wolf blades. This wen model uses a blade size difficult to find. Order lengths +- 1/4 inch and be fine.

So far, so good! First note, the saw is very sturdy and solid, which means that the box was really heavy. If you have to move it far, I would unpack it first. Assemble there. This is also a two person job for main part of the saw. Assembly was easy. Saw was tensioned on delivery. Saw cut well.

I like the bandsaw. It cuts very smooth with little noise. The light is especially good for cutting in areas with low light. The only issue I have is the fence, it fits too tight and leaves scratches on the measuring guide, so I had to take it off. But, overall it is a good purchase.

It was missing two leg braces in the package. I emailed Wen and got an immediate response and they sent replacements that day. It all went together fairly easily and needed no significant adjustments to make it dead-on accurate. Haven’t used it much, but I’m satisfied it will meet my needs easily.

People worry about the power. DON’T!!! Do the “electrical” math. This specs out at about 1.4 h.p.! It is more powerful than most full, sized band saws at a fraction of the cost. It is an excellent machine and an incredible value.
