Much better than an abrasive saw. Straight cuts time after time. Foot pads could be better. When moving around pads fall off.

It was perfect for getting a consistently nice cut on the DeckoRails that we bought from HomeDepot.

The band saw is excellent, far surpassed my expectations. However the Home Depot does not sell replacement blades for the saw. The blade size is 56.5″X1/2″ and they are really hard to find. I recommend that The Home Depot start carrying replacemt blades.

It’s a good saw for the money. Typical made in China quality.

This is a very safe and easy to care for metal cutting medium small band saw for medium duty work. It cuts very precisely to accuracy of 1/16″. The dual switches, a main power with blue LED power indicator lamp, and large and strong vise clamp for the metal stock being cut are the safety features and makes the saw easy to use. You need to provide cutting oil for it like Mobil 766 cutting oil and dispenser bottle for it. It helps keep the band blade lubricated and cooler. The motor has a variable speed controller to adjusts the speed to keep the blade cutting at a pace that will not wear out the blade prematurely and helps it lasts longer. The saw lacks a chip and oil tray underneath. Brush and paper towels are needed to keep the saw clean. Some operators found the two clicks trigger on and off switch annoying. Why did I gave it excellent rating? The angle locking adjustment lever knob is in the way of the stock being cut. One has to be careful to where the stock, blade, and vise clamp and vise screw lever knob are at before turning on the saw for the cut. The blue LED power on lamp is too dim for bright sun light. An optional laser attachment to show where the blade will cut at would be handy. I liked this saw and highly recommended with its shortcomings. I have used it so many times for angle steel with bolt holes on them, just out of the box. Ordering via the web at Home Depot was easy. You have the option of delivery to a store near you for pick up or delivered to your door step. There was some wait and verification for at store pick up. The staff was helpful. The saw weighs about 45 pounds and will needs some table top space. The cord is a 120 V AC 60 Hz with plenty of length about 5 to 6 feet. The instructions are easy to follow. I used the saw right out of the box.

first time it was used it smoked and motor smells burnt, still works 2 weeks later, we will see how long it lives. good thing for the extended warranty, I know I will be using it.

Great for a weekend warrior. Don’t expect to use this tool for daily production work. Home Depot DOES NOT sell the replacement blades in their retail store and I only found them on Amazon and the mfg web site. I would buy a spare blade as soon as you take it out of the box

Really happy with this saw does a nice job and doesn’t take up a lot of space

Great Saw. Small, portable, but cuts fairly quickly and very cleanly. My only complaint is you need to hold the trigger to run the saw instead of starting it and walking away like some of the larger tilting band saws. You can’t do something else while this is cutting. Cuts great. Unusual blade size.

used in an industrial shop. work well on steel, wish it had more RPM’s for aluminum. 56 and half inch saw blades are not a common size. this saw is saving us money to cut up shot ends of the bar!

This bench top saw is perfect for the portable storage cart we build for extruded aluminum material.

For the price it works well and if you let it do the cutting it is accurate. The trigger button feels a bit cheap but it works and the variable speed is nice for different materials

Solid unit, easy final assembly Cuts fine, enough power so far.

For the price this product works very well. It does like the refinements of more expensive machine, Blade guide adjustment knob and angle adjustment knobs are clumsy. But for non-production metal cutting, this will work very well. Cuts mild steel and alum. with no issues. Blade size in non-standard and Home-depot does not stock it that I see.

The saw came completely assembled and in working order. Minor adjustments to blade tracking were necessary to get square cuts. Don’t trust the angle gauge on saw. One needs to set square or angle with appropriate gauge. No tracking adjustment for blade and poor instructions.

Over 100 cuts and still going. The vice is better that similar saws. Decently clean and accurate cuts. Was able to cut 6″x1/2″ plate. The base can flex if a piece is heavy, but it is more solid than other bases I have looked at. Works great for a smaller portable metal band saw. Worth the money.

Out of the box saw took a fair amount of adjustment to cut straight, but after that I was able to cut accurate and repeatable cuts. I have cut 3/8 flat and tubular steel with no problem, just have to let the saw do the work and not force the blade. I don’t think it would be a problem to cut large thicker pieces I just have not done it yet. One con. I have not be able to find blades of different tooth count. Saw comes with 14 teeth per inch. I would like 24 tpi.
