This saw has worked phenomenally well for me. Im a home fabricator. Saw mostly used on square and rectangular tubing up to .25 thick. The clamp will hold up to 5 inches but adjusting the angle of cut will diminish the size metal it can deal with. So 5 inches on sq cuts only. It has made very accurate square and 45° cuts for me. 150 or so cuts with the original blade and it still cuts well. I also really like the saw because it’s quite and a bench top which allows me to store it on a shelf when not in use. It does use an odd size blade so I made sure to order 2 as soon as I decided it was a keeper. The base is the only iffy aspect of the unit but it is acceptable for the price. Go ahead and fix yourself a 3.25 inch tall block to hold up any excessively long material because it can destabilize the unit if not supported. I never use my cutoff saw anymore after purchasing this.

Arrived 2 days ahead of promise date, everything worked fine right out of the box. I have a home workshop and wish I had bought this sort of tool years ago. Always thought I could just cut everything by hand one way or another. This tool has reduced tedious hour long efforts to nearly effortless minutes. Decent build quality and features. Hopefully it will last a long time.

I’m a hobbyist and this saw is exactly what I wanted. Great price and well built. I also have a small WEN drill press I’ve used for years.

have to clean out the saw a lot to keep the blade from popping off. It cut straight for the first blade but then got off. Real pain to get it back to cutting straight. I would say good saw for at home or slop cutting. Not good for precise cuts or production.

I like that it feels and works like a quality saw for the money. I really needed the mitering ability and the compact size. I’ve worked in wood/metal and body shops and I’m a process engineer. I know the importance of buying a tool that fits the job and budget and this saw fits just that. I build custom furniture. Steel framed tables mostly. Square mild steel tubing usually under 4″. This saw is the safest, fastest and most productive option I could think of. Sure I could buy a bigger production saw but it would cost double and take up valuable floor space. I’ve been using the saw for three weeks now and built three tables(about 15-20 cuts per table) it has worked flawlessly. If have given 5 stars but the first saw I received did not work. I called WEN and they were very helpful and addressed my problem immediately. They said I could have a part shipped if I could identify what it was. I pulled it apart to access the issue and see if a small part could be sent instead of entire saw. The transmission was connected to the moter without aligning one of the bearings. In the end I decided on just having them ship a new saw which arrived within days. Quality control is always a concern in a factory. My thoughts are this. It’s a good solid quality tool, there can always be a lemon, but since WEN did the best possible service I could have expected I will continue to buy some of their products. I plan on buying a wood band saw and a drill press in the near future.

I purchased this online figuring it would be made of plastic and not built very well…. wow, was I wrong. I was so pleasantly surprised to see this is all metal and comes with a stop so you can do accurate production work. The clamping system is very good and there’s even an indicator light letting you know the machine is in the ‘on’ position and ready to use. I purchased a back up blade with more teeth per inch than comes with the machine and I’m glad I did, the blade that comes with it is more aggressive than the 24 teeth per inch back-up blade I purchased, so that was a good move because I needed a finer cut. There’s also mounting holes in the base so it can be fastened down and I was happy to see that as well. There’s no negatives to this well built saw and so far I’m very happy with the purchase, thanks Wen for a job well done.

The easy miter by turning the Saw Head is by far the most convenient saw out there and for the money of less than $250 the next closest thing Cuts 1/8 inch narrower and cost about $700

Great saw so far. Only cut a few things. Cuts clean and smooth. Package arrived beat up and plastic tension knob was broken. Did not affect function. Will fabricate metal knob instead of replacing with cheap plastic knob.

First one I bought something was wrong in the gear box and it locked up on me and burnt the motor out. Returned to store no questions asked, new one was ordered and it works great! I saw itself is super , cuts good and straight right out of the box, unfortunately something was wrong with the first one, so 4 stars .

made with good materials and good craftsmanship, its small ,portable and cuts straight!the only part i like is that i had to keep my finger on the switch and push down until the cut is done

The saw is adiquite, the trigger seems like it won’t be long before the trigger fails. I have the speed adjustment on full it’s starts out fast but before I get it to the work it slows down. However over all I bought it for consistent cuts which it provides.Thank youSteve
