If you need an accurate drill press for small in size jobs this is a quality machine . I bored .375 dia. holes through 2″ square aluminum bar stock without any trouble. I would buy it again.

Wonderful, little press. Drilled perfect holes in my marble lamp base and sea stones.
Peyton Kerluke (verified owner) –
Good quality for such a cheap drill press. I’d buy it again.

Good little drill press for most light duty applications. However a little under-powered when I try to use anything larger than a 1” forstner bit on 2x material. Bogs down completely. On 3/4” pine boards worked with no issues. Overall a good value drill press.

I was pleasantly surprised. The fit and finish was better than expected. The cast iron table measured perpendicular to the spindle within .004, front to rear over 6 inches and the spindle itself measured .002 TIR at the chuck jaws. On the down side induction motors can not be regulated with a rheostat and I would like more and/or a lower speed range. The power is adequate for most of my drill and paddle bits, but it reaches it’s torque limits with hole saws at 2.0 inch dia. This replaced a 3/8 inch press that had been struggling in the corner of my shop for some 40+ years. I wish I had purchased it sooner.

I needed a tool that gives me better results and options than a hand drill for an aluminum project however the chuck has significant run out and the table surface looks like some one in 1st year shop class finished it with a 50 grit grinder. I’ve spent another $50 on a replacement chuck and with the spindle being supported by ball bearings that should help. I would recommend only use new sharp bits and try not to over work the machine. This is a typical representation of a Chinese product, great price but poor quality! Need I say more. Recommended but know what you’re getting!

Product arrived in great condition, required approximately 1/2 hour to assemble, including the time to clean the protective coating from the unpainted parts.Unit runs quietly and true….had a unit from Harbor Freight and the chuck wobbled…..impossible to drill accurate holes.Bear in mind, this is LIGHT DUTY machine, not designed or intended for heavy industrial use. With that said, the unit has performed flawlessly on the projects on which I have used it.

Its ok for the price. It does the job. Would like to see a wider base and longer column. Otherwise, works well. so far.

Its not a heavy duty construction based drill press but I could see construction workers taking it to a job site because it is lite. I use it on low speeds and connect sanding drums to it and it works great. It assembled quick out of the box and the tilt table will come in very handy this weekend as I put some bevel edges into a project. Its a great product for what you need it for. Good purchase for me.

I am sick and tired of drilling crooked holes! I also have problems drilling accurate holes in metal as the bit seems to wander. I’m mounting some solar panels on my boat and need 1/4″ holes through 1/8″ stainless steel (20 holes) and 2″ of teak for the mounts. This little drill press does the job. I use a cobalt bit and drilling lubricant. I experimented with a large (5″) dull Chinese hole saws — can’t manage that. Seems to work well for normal sized items. A real pleasure to use. I would have liked the extra range of a 10″ drill but room for storage of the press is an issue in my small condo. The press is easy to move around and very attractive. I clamp it to my work bench.

Perfect drill press for small woodworking shop. Handles all of my needs very easily. Easy assembly, nice adjustability, able to be stored away when needed, and dependable.

I’ve used the drill press a few times since my purchase. Overall I am pleased with it, as it has met the demands of what I needed it for. My only criticism is that it’s a bit loud. This is my third Wen product and all do a good job.
