The 1/2 in. chuck with JT33 spindle taper gives you versatility with a variety of bits. Worktable bevels 45 degree left and right for angled drilling. The drill was easy to assemble and Easy to use. The only problem I have had with it is the nut that holds the cover down was not welded in place as received. The cover stays down but I can’t use the thumb screw to hold it in place

Great for smaller job’s, the speed adjustment is done by moving drive belt to different pulleys, for different ratio, didn’t know that, but seems simple enough to do so, all and all I’m satisfied so far, but haven’t used it that much yet

Easy to setup & adjust for various usages, and the overall value is very good for typical home & hobby use. The chuck has been a bit stiff to adjust (by hand) – tending to turn unless I use both hands, but I’ve not had any wobble or alignment issues. The drill is quiet and the stroke is smooth. If not used as a bench mounted drill, I would recommend mounting to a broader base (e.g. 2′ SQ plywood) for more stability if you need to drill on longer pieces of metal or word.

My only complaint is that i didnt realize that 8in means only 4 inches of clearance or i would have bought the 10 inch. I could not fit a guitar in to drill the bushings without hitting the pole, so i had to modify it Tim Taylor style. The good: I needed to drill precision 1/2” holes for bushings and thats what i got. Virtually no run out on the bit.

I’m giving it a five for overall, quality and ease of assembly and use typical of WEN products. It does bog down occasionally. I’m not sure if I was using too high speed, a dull drill bit or trying to go to fast drilling; but I didn’t let that effect my overall assessment..
