Packed with features that you’ll find in larger, more industrial type drill presses, you can power through metal, wood and other materials with ease. Change from 5 speeds to target the exact RPM right for your project (570 RPM, 900 RPM, 1390 RPM, 2050 RPM, 3050 RPM). Rigid frame construction of cast iron provides sturdiness and reliability. Its powerful induction motor features ball bearings for an extended life, all combining together with smooth and balanced performance at any speed. The 1/2 in. chuck with JT33 spindle taper gives you versatility with a variety of bits. Worktable bevels 45° left and right for those tricky operations for the perfect right angles consistently. Base has predrilled holes for mounting onto a bench or work stand. The X-pattern laser locks-on to your drill points saving on guesswork and sparing expensive materials. This product worked well, no doubt. The issue I had is that it is stated as a 10 inch. Not sure how they measure that. We were not able to drill all the way through a 4×4 with this tool. That being said, maybe I should have done more research

its sturdy and well made, but has far less power than even my cordless hand drill. per the manual I’ve adjusted the belt tension and rearranged the belt, but even soft pine 1″ thick or less can cause it to hang, very surprising. and using hole saw bits is a non-starter, the press hangs almost immediately.I sent a note to Wen, no response. . .

It arrived with a bent housing around motor-drive system and vibrates a decent amount when running. The initial design was good, but lost in the details. Laser pointer is strange as you lower to drill, it starts to disappear.

Pretty decent overall. I like the work lite and the laser features. Only time will tell the true quality of the unit. That being said, i would gladly pay more for a dp like this if it was made in the U.S.A. Being a machinist by trade, i have a keen eye as to the professionalism of machined parts. This machine is a typical example of low grade Chinese material and workmanship. Possibly good enough but i really want to support American manufacturing and jobs. I WANT TO BUY AMERICAN!

This is my first drill press and I am very impressed. Very smooth operation, not a lot of vibration or excessive noise. Very stable even without being clamped or screwed to the work table.
