It’s really nice. Not too hard to setup, but a bit of a process. Have acetone handy for cleaning mating surfaces as well as steel wool. Also need your own hardware to custom mount to your workbench. Instructions are good. My first drill press so can’t really speak from experience, but no complaints. I’d say the laser isn’t necessary, but you don’t have to flick it on. Laser is adjustable and seems to need a slight adjustment out of the box, but probably won’t bother with it.

The drill does everything it should; I have no complaints about its performance. The laser crosshairs do a very good job when they work, unfortunately they hardly ever come on.

I had another brand 10 in drill press for 10 years and it was a good one, but I wanted one with laser on it so I bought the WEN and love it. I was very simple to put together took about 30 minutes. The laser was dead on right out of the box.

I have been very pleased with this drill press.

It is difficult to adjust the angle left/right as the bolt requires a wrench. I tried a wrench, but cant budge it. Other than that, it is just as I expected.

Fits my needs for a small shop and beginner. I have already used it a lot and am very satisfied with build quality. I made sure to get one with a crank on the table (raise/lower) and that has proved to be a good decision. The work light is powered from the plug but the laser is powered by a battery compartment which I found odd. FYI: speed is changed by changing belts.

I’m not aware of a better garage drill press for the money. It’s easy to set up and perfect for the DIY’er. I’ve only used it a few times but I’m very impressed with its features. I especially like the laser and convenient work light. It’s a welcome addition to my workbench.

Would have given this press 5 stars except had to do a lot of work on the gearing (spindle shaft and main column updown motion) to remove burrs so the press would operate smoothly. Burrs and galling were internal so had to take the unit apart to repair. Also the main belt pulleys have burrs which will cut up the drive belt. After several hours of work to fix issues, that should have never left or even occurred at the factory, the unit is running fine now. I recommend because it’s going to be a great hobby press with a longer than others stroke, just not sure on the long haul. But based on my experience expect issues during assembly, hopefully you don’t. Also the belt is a plain vee belt design without a tensioner and should be a notched or cog design so it will run smoother.

The only thing that wasn’t right on was the laser, but did not expect that for the price.Overall, well built and much heavier duty than others at the same price.

Works as advertised.

Exactly what I was looking for. We have a larger drill press, but we do a lot of small parts and hobby work. This is perfect next to my work bench. I compared this to other brands, some less money-and by far this is the heaviest built and nicest looking in its price range. I would recommend.
