Remember when power tools were actually powerful? WEN’s 10 in. swing variable speed drill press with laser centering device is a powerhouse for your shop. Packed with features that you’ll find in larger more industrial type drill presses. This drill press has the power to drill through metal, wood and other materials. The variable speed feature allows you to target in the exact speed (infinitely from 530-3100) that works for your project. Simply move a lever and adjust the speed as needed. No pulleys and belts to change. Our design uses a mechanical variable speed which allows for the same power and torque through the entire speed range. A digital readout displays the running speed. Constructed with a rigid frame consisting of cast iron. Its powerful induction motor features ball bearings for an extended life and it all comes together with smooth and balanced performance even at high speeds. The 1/2 in. chuck with JT33 spindle taper gives you versatility with a variety of bits and features on-board chuck key storage, so you never have to hunt around for it. Worktable bevels 45° left and right for those tricky operations for the perfect right angles consistently. Base has pre-drilled holes for mounting onto a bench or work stand. Slotted table allows for mounting clamps and vises for effective mounting. The X-pattern laser locks-on to your drill points saving on guesswork and sparing expensive materials. Much better quality than the craftsman I had and the speed changing feature is fantastic. Would highly recommend this drill press.

Product works great but a little noisy. Delivery was satisfactory.

It is severely lacking in power . It’s suppose to reach speeds to 3100 and it only reaches 3050 which is not a big deal since i drill nothing that requires that kind of speed . For the most part it is worth the money .

Combined this with a cross slide vise to make a homemade milling machine and it worked wonderfully. Price was great too and easy to assemble.

Love this machine. It was super easy to assemble, maybe 20mins. The speed adjuster is amazing, easy to adjust. The motor has a brake on it so it stops right away.I got the taller bench top version to use a monetizing jig attachment. The added wen table top accessory is nice too, but you have to set table height first cause the crank handle hits it. The laser was dialed in, so adjustment needed. It’s compact enough to put on the floor next to my toolbox when I am not using it

So far so good, it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it. The variable speed controls are the best part of this of this drill press.

For the price, this drill press was a good buy. I actually assembled it without looking at the instructions because it seemed intuitive to me. I do wish it came with a work light rather than a laser as the laser seemed a tinge off centered and I do not see a way to adjust it.

Was nervous this wouldn’t have enough power for the metal drilling I usually do, but it is holding up well so far. Runout is minimal and it’s the perfect size for my bench which is why I didn’t go for the 12 inch model. Can’t beat it for the price.

Good drill press for the price.

It was pretty easy to assemble, but the instructions could be a little too vague. The digital speed is very convenient and useful. I use this for woodworking and it works fine. The laser is mediocre. I mounted this onto a universal tool stand from harbor freight and it fits just fine. Just be careful of the edges as they might have burrs on them.

The drill was easy to assemble and seems to be a good choice for DIY projects. I was disappointed with the lack of attention to finishing details. The rough cast iron areas had places where the paint had chipped off. Also, the unit was also pretty noisy initially, but after some of the pulleys were tightened and certain parts was lubricated, the noise level became acceptable.

Combined with the Wen Drill Table you have to unstall it every time you lower or higher the drill plate. Someone should have seen that. Otherwise the drill is a very good one for the price.

Very easy to assemble and set up. Its a pretty sturdy and well built drill for the price. Runout out of the box was very acceptable. I haven’t take the time to dial it in yet, but so far its more than fine for routine work and feels like it will last a while. I’ve very happy for the price.
