Remember when power tools were actually powerful? The WEN 15 in. 8.6 Amp Variable Speed Floor Standing Drill Press meets the needs of both home and professional users. This model includes a full 4 in. of stroke capacity, allowing users to drill through materials up to 4 in. thick. With such a large spindle travel, drilling holes through a 4×4 board has never been easier. Adjust our variable speed anywhere from 280 to 1000 RPM with the simple turn of a lever, or make a quick belt adjustment for variable speed ranging from 1000 to 3300 RPM. The digital readout reports the current RPM of the machine for increased accuracy when drilling. The 12 in. x 12 in. cast iron table pivots up to 45 degrees in both directions while the laser pointer ensures precise holes. The chuck with Morse #2 spindle taper accepts bits anywhere from 1/12 to 5/8 in. in size. Cast iron frame and base gives the machine a hefty support system to prevent the drill press from walking or vibrating. The WEN 15 in. Drill Press also includes a lamp to illuminate the worktable and convenient onboard storage for the chuck key. Remember when you could drill with laser precision? Remember WEN.

The drill was delivered to my local Home Depot on time and in god condition. The store employees were helpful unboxing and inspecting the drill components. Everything was delivered in good condition. I was able to put the unit together without help (the motor head is pretty heavy) and everything fit and worked properly. I’ve owned the drill about 45 days, use it often and it works great. for my use, I really appreciate the chuck travel, which is more than other models I shopped for. I think anyone could be very happy with this unit.

Detailed assembly instructions makes assembly quick as well as easy with tools supplied by manufacture. I have used many drill presses over my 40 years of professional work. The Wenn floor model is a pleasant waking dream to operate. Speed between ranges is infinite and very easy to adjust at any time. The storage holder for the chuck key is especially nice on the right side. Not having a tether on the key to keep from loosing it makes it use in the chuck effortless and lacks the cumbersomeness of a cable wrapping around your hand.

This drill is a really good product. All steel parts and it’s very sturdy. This drill press will last a very long time. Very smooth operation and start up. No vibration and it’s pretty quiet. The light is bright and the laser is really cool too. The speed adjustment is very easy by just moving a lever. It drills through a 4 x 4 with no problem. This WEN drill press is a quality machine that can handle anything, from light to heavy duty work and should last forever.
