Great product. Especially for the price point. Good construction, smooth quiet operation, nice features, and just solid all around. Only gripe and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the LEDs are battery powered instead of being integrated with the 120v power supply. Glad the batteries were included at least. Otherwise I love it.

The grinder has power and smooth running it doesn’t bog down provided wait until it runs completely , little disappointed with the switch light never lit up when grinder turned on , other than that good deal for the price just don’t know how long it will last.

Easy to assemble and runs great. Runs quiet, led lights work great. I highly recommend this grinder.

I wish I could bought this earlier.

The grinder did not have good written directions but one could follow the pictures for assembly. It did not come with any hardware to mount it to the bench top and it was difficult to access the mounting holes because of lack of enough space to work between the grinding shell housing and motor.

I rated it excellent for what it is, a nice “consumer” bench grinder for the person who needs to occasionally sharpen some tools. It’s probably not for the machinist, but it’s decent and cheap. I bought a second one and put a wire wheel and buffing pad on it and they sit side-by-side.

I just needed something to sharpen bits from time to time, probably I’ll pull it out a handful of times per year. This unit certainly exceeds my requirements. Arrived nicely balanced and ready to just plug in and use (after attaching the tool rests, guard and lights of course – easy stuff, 10-15 minutes). I can recommend this unit. Second tool I’ve got from this brand (other was a bench top drill press – that was a great purchase too).

Very impressed with this purchase. Vibration is minimal, very well balanced. Tool holders are little on the weak side and have to really torqued down. Overall, a great machine.

Bought the bench grinder a few weeks ago! Just need something to sharpen my ax head and lawnmower blade! I’ ve never heard or used a WEN product. ! But if the quailty of there other tools . are up to par with the grinder! I’ll be back! Grinder is quiet, well made! Very little vibration! Imo a great buy!

Unit arbors threads are not reversed so it makes it hard to change wheels there is no shaft lock to to stop it from moving.

Ordered this about two months ago. It arrived with tool rests and a few knobs missing. Customer service was great the first time I called, sending me the missing parts. Second time called to check on shipment — it arrived two days later. The knobs for the tool rests were the wrong threads. Third time calling I was on hold for 57 minutes(!). I have not yet received the correct knobs.I’ve been able to use the tool rests with my own bolts for the time being. I’m happy with the machine. Motor is good to very good. Vibration and noise is much less than I expected. One of the grinding wheels has a slight lateral wobble (apx 1/16th inch) but that does not seem to negatively impact performance.I’m not that happy with the design of the tool rest and attachment bracket. The sheet metal of the wheel covers to which the bracket and tool rests mount prevent the tool rests from being square with the wheels. I’ve experimented with some shims between the mounting bracket and the wheel guard. The shim works in one position but when changing the angle of the tool rest and sliding the bracket in or out, the shim thickness needs to be adjusted.Overall, I’m satisfied with the grinder considering the price. I considered returning it and trying the DeWalt 8inch grinder, but at twice the price and reports of problems with it, I decided to stick with the WEN.Customer service: 4 out of 5Motor: 5 out of 5Accessories and mounting: 2 out of 5Value: 3 out of 5

Great or the money! Bought this along with the WEN pedestal stand to go with it. Assembly is pretty basic and looks pretty good. Of course not the quality of a $250 grinder but I wouldnt expect that. Had a bad vibration right out of the box. Took off the side guards and found the nuts holding the wheels on were not very tight. Tightened those and dressed the wheels and most of the vibration is gone. Still some, but very usable. I’m very happy with this purchase.

My only disappointment with this item, which I didn’t discover until I received the item, is the spin down time. It takes over 3 minutes for the rotation to stop after turning the unit off. I guess a quick stop feature would be expecting too much on this otherwise good, and very inexpensive grinder. Other than that, it runs smoothly, and has very little vibration.

Excellent Product, it was even better than I expected and glad I bought a new grinder. My old grinder was in bad need of a set of new grinding wheels. With the price of good grinding wheels being a fair amount of money it made more sense to spent that and add a little extra toward a new bench grinder. On the Wen grinder the tool rests are so much better than my 20+ y.o grinder and with led lights to shine on the work area it’s a great step up.
