I have been using every day and this vise I have mounted it to my desktop with thumb screws so I can also use it on my drill press. This vise does everything I need perfectly.

This is a really great tilting angle vise, Its heavy enough to stay in place, when in use, it closes easily, holding whatever needs to be secure, in fact, i used it when cutting wooden dowels, it was firm, but didn’t leave any marks in the wood, Its made of industrial strength metal, that is high end, I am thinking I’ll order another just for crafts for me, otherwise I will need an appointment to use it.

So far so good, does everything I need it to do. Not sure why there’s a cotter pin to hold certain angles, since there’s a tightener that allows for infinite directionality, but I just cut it off.The vice came coated in protective grease, so be ready to get gnarly gross unpacking and making ready to use, but for the price and functionality, cannot complain.

Heavy duty tilting angle vise. Vise is well built but is a little heavy to pick up. Tilts from 0 to 90 degrees and can be locked in place. Angle can be pinned through predrilled holes at every 15 degrees or locking clamp between 15 degrees. There were no instructions with the vise and no instructions on the WEN or Home Depot websites. Contacted WEN and was told that instructions were being written. This is a new product for Home Depot. Has “V” grooves in one jaw to hold a cylinder but they look to be too small except for small diameter cylinders. Unit made of cast iron. It would be nice to have a ledge machined into both jaws so you could rest a piece flat. As is, you have to be careful to position the work piece before tightening. If you rest the work piece on the bottom of the jaws, you can’t drill through the piece without hitting the vise. Product description mentions removable handles but I could not find them. If you use this vise on a drill press, I’d recommend clamping or bolting the vise to drill press bed so it doesn’t move. I use it on my WEN 4214 Drill Press.

Well worth the money! I try to always rate things as to how they compare with other identical things in the same price range. I gave this vise the highest rating due to the fact that I believe that in this price range it cannot be beat. I used to work for a large corporation and all the tools we bought were of the highest quality and the price reflected the quality, ( probably 8 to 10 times the price of this vise) but in our industrial machine shop, the highest quality was necessary. I got this for my home shop and it will do everything I need to do here at home with my drill press being made by Craftsman and even though it is a good home use drill press, it is not the precise machine we used at work. I have this same brand of vise in a non tilting version and have been very happy with it, but the tilting feature will be a greatly appreciated.

Angle drilling in my projects is the reason I’ve bought this vise. Holds workpiece sturdy I’ve added some pads to prevent marring. Good enough for me .

Great little vise for a bench top drill press. Set ups are accurate and machining and fit is well done.

This is what I wanted

I bought this to sharpen knives and scissors, but it doesn’t work good because the sides are too wide to use a file on an angle. The file kits the vise.

This vise is well-made, solid, and heavy. The pin for locking in the preset tilt angles provides positive indexing, though this makes inserting or removing the pin difficult. The angle steps seem fairly accurate, at least as can be established with a Bosch Digital Angle Finder. The clamp on the tilt provides a positive lock and the vise is useful for many applications.Unfortunately, the vise does not rotate horizontally. For me, this limits its usefulness. Also, the jaws are rather small. Jaw capacity is also limited by only being able to clamp an object that is bigger than the jaws by its base or edge, rather than centrally, as one could if the jaws were shaped like C-clamps rather than flat.I am unable to determine the intent of the statement in the description: “the removable handles help users easily install the vise into tight spaces”.
