This model #49135 20 Volt 1/4 inch rechargable battery pack Impact Driver performs very well. It comes with everything you need right out of the box to start working. Included in the package one Standard bit and one Phillip head, which pop in and out easily. It also comes with a black carrying bag to transport all excessories from job to job. You also have a metal belt clip. Which you can or not mount. It can be mounted on left or right side of the drill so it can be attached to a work belt if you are working with more than one tool and use a utility belt. It has a strap with loop which may be useful for some people but I did not have a use for it.The 20 volt battery charges quickly and lasts a long time, The kit also comes with one battery and one battery charger. Additional batteries can be purchased at Home Depot which I will purchase one more so when working on larger projects and one battery is exhausted I can charge it while using the fresh battery and charge the other. This kit has a parts list and helpful tech support information if you have any questions or problems. and website information etc. and 1800 support..The WEN Company has been around since 1951 this is a newer item of theirs and I have been running it through all sorts of jobs and it performs as good or better than any of the competing brands that I have tried or owned in the past. It even stands up to green pressure treated wood driving deck screws in with ease. The grip design fits perfectly in your hand and overall the drill looks also great too and is a good weight. It is not bulky or heavy at all. Great product. I will be looking for other tools by this company and the additional battery. Two thumbs up WEN !!

This is a great drill. It has so many great features. I can use it for all my repairs. My neighbor already has one and I told him I have one too. He said he will show me all the uses. The torque is huge, 500 lbs. The wrench has 60 lbs/ft and it is awesome. I am so happy to such a great tool with all the great features. I am grateful to have his. Thank you very much.

This budget impact driver is priced well, but doesn’t deliver on power, durability, or extended options for tools on the same battery platform. The included tool bag is a nice bonus, but the bits looked to be cheap chrome vanadium and it didn’t seem like they were impact rated. The included charger takes a respectable 55 minutes to bring the 1.5Ah battery from empty to fully charged – that’s right in line with the base charger for comparable manufacturers.I ran an endurance test with the single included battery and sunk 193 3″ screws into SPF dimensional lumber. It managed to get another 10 on the same battery, but kept stalling halfway through each of them before it completely quit. The batteries have Tenpower brand lithium ion cells, which are rated at a 20A max discharge rate, and a 3A charge rate. Most other brands use more reputable battery cells, like LG, Samsung, Sony, or Sanyo, which have greater discharge and charge rates too. One more note on the 18V vs 20V Max, they’re the same battery capacity. If you measure the no-load voltage across an 18V tool battery, it will read 20V, and the 20V battery will read 18V under load. The only difference is marketing. The one saving feature of these batteries is that extra batteries are priced lower than the competition’s extra batteries are.I was surprised I was able to drive a 4″ long 3/8″ diameter lag bolt without a pilot, and the impact driver didn’t stall out on me. The 950 in-lbs of torque is actually at the extreme low end for an 18/20V impact driver, and a few 12V class impacts even have a higher torque capacity. This driver appears to do well enough with basic screws, but I wouldn’t count on it sinking longer lags to any significant depth. Quite a few other manufacturers make similarly priced 18V one-battery impact driver kits with 40-50% more torque than this driver.During the endurance test, the head of the tool got up to 140°F, which is quite high and can be uncomfortable to hold. Afterwards, I noticed high vibration and a rattling noise in the back end of the impact driver when I turned it at low speeds. I didn’t notice it there before, but it may have already been there before I ran the tool hard. I suspect it to be the rear bearing/bushing holding the drive shaft in the back end of the motor. Either way, I don’t have much confidence in the longevity of this tool with that kind of noise coming out of it.

Received this drill yesterday to test for Home Depot. I used it today for about two hours. Drilling and counter-sinking holes then inserting three inch deck screws in a wooden structure. The drill performed as well as my brand name cordless drills that cost three times as much. I was very pleased with the weight and strength of the drill. This is a workhorse that would be a great addition to anyone’s worhshop.

Ideal size for almost all household jobs. Less than a huge cordless drill, and more than just a cordless screwdriver. Ideal size, perfectly balanced.

Compact but disappointing. This little impact wrench from WEN has plenty of power for its size. At 20V it should have but I still had my doubts. My 1st project was driving a 1/4 inch diameter x 31/2 inch long lag screw to attach a old piece of Arizona sun hardened 4×4 to a piece of 2X6. It went 2 inches in and that was all. It did not stall completely but kept hammering. It just did not have the power to drive it any deeper. I had to keep the speed slow to get the bolt started. Of course it did not go in at top speed but boy it sure came back out at top speed. Might still work for my typical fall & spring repair of horse corrals. Many here use 2″ pipe hung on wood posts and I drive 5/16″ x 11/2″ lag bolts to hold the pipe hangers. Have not had chance to try it there yet. It does work great with regular wood screws, even long ones. I drove some coated #10 x 3″ with no problem except still had to start on slow to stabilize the screw. It comes with one battery, one straight and one Phillips bit that are 1 1/8″ long, a belt hanger, charger and a nice carry bag. It would be much more handy with a 2nd battery and there is plenty of room for it in the carry bag.
