IMPRESSIVE DESIGN and VERSATILITY —The WEN 4-Volt Max Lithium Ion Rechargeable Cordless Electric Screwdriver is a useful tool for almost any household. It can be used with either a comfortable pistol grip or straight-up grip. It has 35 bits: slotted, phillips, Pozidriv, torx, and hex, and 8 metric sockets from 6 mm to 13 mm. I would have preferred SAE sockets and Robertson bits instead of the Pozidriv bits. Maybe at some point WEN will make two sets: one for metric and one for SAE. The magnetic bit holders are outstanding. Their strength is so strong that I needed to use a pliers to remove a bit. An advantage of the bit holder is that you can add other types of bits to use with this tool. The power of the screwdriver has been sufficient to insert screws to their proper tightness. It only has a USB charger. The case is solid and has space for extra bits or accessories. And for good measure, it has a powerful flashlight with an ergonomically-placed on/off switch.

This is a very good household light-duty screwdriver to replace my old “Versapak” electric screwdriver. It is rechargeable via a USB connection. It comes with a excellent complement of tips; both screwdriver and sockets. It has an LED at the screwdriver end to help you see what you’re doing and a brighter LED at the other end to act as a flashlight. The whole set comes in a handy hardcase. The only caveat is that it should only be used for light to medium duty work. Driving a screw into anything heavier than the softest wood just won’t work without drilling a pilot hole.Oh, and kudos to the folks at WEN for making their owners manual instructive and hilarious. That made me read it very carefully so I wouldn’t miss any laughs.
