Never used one. Got jt, loaded it, built a 50 foot fence with it, alone. I’m 80 years old. Got is awfully heavy, but never a misfire or a hangup.

This nailer is one of a kind that can use 21, 28, and 34 degree nails. The 21 degree nails need to be connected with plastic, while the 28 and 34 degree nails can use paper or wire as the connecting material. The nail gun is some what heavy, but is well balanced. It can be set to fire automatic or manual, meaning hitting the tip to the item to be nail fires the nail or using manual you must pull the trigger. The case comes with the nail gun that includes the hex wrenches needed to work on the gun as well as safety glasses and a small bottle of oil. Instructions are well written and easy to follow. Construction – the nail gun is well constructed and had a rubber handhold grip. Comes with a non-marring rubber bumper tip or it can be removed and the metal teeth tip used. The outlet port is adjustable to accommodate airflow away from your face and body. I have used it with 2 3/8″ (8d) and 3 1/4″ (16d) nails, on both manual and auto settings. It performed flawlessly driving the nails into pine boards. Did not matter if the nails were driven in soft pine or near knots. Overall I am impressed with the tool. Suggested to the manufacturer to use swivel air connections and received an quick response that they will add it in the future. Any manufacturer that has a good support desk and considers user input is a top notch company. Will consider WEN products in my future purchases.

Will not have to buy another framing nailer for a while. Love it.

Got the job done with no malfunctions – 4 stars out of 5. One star off for the rather heavy weight.

The Wen framing nailer worked flawlessly for my shed building project. I was a little hesitant at first when shopping for a nailer, since the Wen cost was considerably less than other brands, but I decided to give it a try. That was a great decision!!!

Works great for my needs. I’m not in a construction like environment where a high volume and speed are required.I’m using a 4.5 @ 90 compressor for basic framing needs. Slightly under the recommended. Ease of use, no jams in building first couple of soffits.

High quality, easy to load, and works flawlessly. A bit heavier, but at the price, a really good value.

Perfect Product at a Great PriceI have collected a number of tools to go with my compressor, but the one I have always put off getting was a framing nailer, as my need for it was never great enough to justify getting one (I used a palm nailer when I needed to drive framing nails…good for one-offs, but not an ideal solution when a lot of nailing is needed). Now that I am moving on to bigger projects, like a dog house and the fence I am rebuilding, the time to get one has come. I have always liked WEN tools, and this framing nailer is just what this DIYer needed! It is a specialty item in my tool inventory but nothing beats it when you have to nail cross bars to fence posts, or 2×4’s together: pull the trigger and boom! Nailed! It has the ability to be set to 21° (the standard found at HomeDepot, and what the nailer is set at when you get it), or 28° or 34° if needed. As a bonus, the case (which was definitely a deciding factor for me) has all the hex wrenches needed to make all possible adjustments, as well as lubricating oil and a pair of safety glasses, which nobody else does as far as I know. It has smooth operation and fits really nicely in my hand and as awkwardly bis as it looks it feels surprisingly light. I did have a little trouble loading nails the first time, but that was just me getting used to the nailer. I have had no misfires or jams so far. I have not used the sequential fire mode (which I never use anyway) nor have I had to reset the depth adjustment yet (which looks simple from the manual provided). This is a very nice tool that I expect to get many years of use out of, and while I cannot say how well it would work for a construction professional, it is perfect for my needs. Highly recommended.

Great hard case included. Well constructed. Convenient nail rail adjustment for different degrees of feed.. Shocking that the quality was so outstanding from a brand that was new to me. Great value and quality – easily stands up to the higher priced power tools. WEN is not to be taken lightly. I believe WEN is here to show they are the entire package. Investing in good tools is always a risk – but I was not at all disappointed in this hammer. I will be using this for a long time for sure.

This is a great nail gun. The ability to change the angle of the nail receiver for different angled nails is sublime. Now I can buy almost any nail size and not worry. I can also change the angle of the gun based on the area I am nailing in. It also has a switch near the trigger that allows you to change it from single fire to multi-fire based on pressing the nose against whatever you are nailing and holding the trigger. Nice design, nice case, nice gun. My only dislike is how long it takes to change the gun to different angles. I wish it was a little simpler, but I’m sure I will get fast at doing it.

I really wanted to love this framing nailer and had really high hopes since I have a different WEN product I love. This nailer seems like it’s well built but just doesn’t make enough power to sink the nail head below the surface of the wood. I tried several times with the PSI at the recommended amount and tried all the way to the max PSI specified and I wasn’t getting consistent results. I would have to hit half these nails with a hammer afterwards which defeats the purpose of a nailer. I tried both 21 degree and 28 degree nails that we’re 3in long. It felt really good using it but just not powerful enough to do the job so I returned it to buy a Bostitch instead and never looked back. On the plus side, this unit does come with a very nice hard plastic carrying case and includes safety glasses and a bottle of oil to go with it.
