I think this is a good little project sander. Dimensions are as described. 2 prong cord, on/off switch has a dust cover, small attachment piece enclosed that fits my wet/dry vac. It has vents along the sides that may need to be blown out after each use. Came with a sample 80 grit piece of sandpaper. Dust holes on the pad are common enough configuration to find sanding discs for, but I had to shop around to find a generous multipack with good variety. No clips on the sides, just Velcro based. Nothing really to assemble. The vac attachment piece did not fit my 2 “housework” vacuum cleaners, just the shop vac. It did not fit the little dust collecting bag attachment that comes with the Wen 1/3 sheet sander, (go figure.) There are economical sanding pads by other manufacturer’s that have the same shape, size and hole configuration as this Wen palm sander. Good to know if that part ever needs replacing. I have an ancient electric palm sander that I hated using so never thought I’d ever buy one again. I got this one to trial for SEEDS but wish I had bought it 2 years ago when I was sanding down Adirondack chairs and picnic tables. Don’t know how long it will last as have owned a short time, but nothing broke so far.

good tool for the price, the only issue i have that kept it from a better rating was the poorly designed on/off switch. The heavy plastic cover makes it next to impossible to activate while holding it while sanding.

The vibration is bothersome on the palm and arm . Emits dust. Planning to return item.

Purchased this to sand down and re-finish our kitchen table and chairs. It did a great job and was able to fit into the small areas between the chair slats. Great value for the money.

I like the product. It exceeds my expectations in completing my project. It was easy to assemble and start my project immediately. I like that included parts to connect a vacuum machine. My disappointment was that it did not include a small bag and 2 or 3 sander pads instead of 1.

WEN Electric Detailing Palm Sander is an economical sander. Its sturdy and uses a standard Velcro attachment for pre-cut paper. Not much to say it does what its supposed to and the design is pretty typical. Its a good size, fits the hand comfortably, uses 5-1/2 inch by 3- 7/8 inch paper, not much different from other detail sanders. The tool accepted my 1-1/4 inch shop vac hose to draw away dust. It gets into tight spots and the motor just keeps up. I have other WEN tools and this one will do just fine. Once again, good sander for a good price.

Good little palm sander so far. Comfortable to operate for those small detailing projects. I like that the on/off switch is dustproofed and there is an included vacuum attachment. I do wish it came with a dust bag instead/in addition just like it’s 1/3 sheet sibling. I can also tell it packs a little less power than my older model. Not a huge deal, it still gets the job done and at this price point there is nothing to scoff at.

It’s lightweight which I needed to work on ceilings. Paired with a portable Ridgid shop vac with a better filter and 1.25″ hose from an Amazon supplier make for much cleaner work area when used indoors.

I bought sander because it was the lightest hand sander I could find and others are too heavy for me to use sanding walls. It’s light enough to use that way and does not give off too much vibration. However, it doesn’t come with sandpaper – maybe one sheet – so you have to get what you need beforehand. I made my own sandpaper cut to fit but it was time consuming. I’m happy about the purchase.

Great value. I would actually go 4 1/2 – 4 3/4 stars. I still have not found anything to justify 2X expense of hook & loop over stick-on sanding pads. Otherwise, 5 stars solid. Dust collection does a pretty good job of clearing paper, extending life Best $16 I’ve spent in a while.
