About what i expected for the price.

My only problem with the sander was hanging on to it! It has a very small handle so it is quite easy for the sander to go off on its own and you have to recapture.

The WEN ¼ Sheet Orbital Palm Sander is a well made entry-level sander. It doesn’t take long to get up and running as the dust bag twists into place and velcro on the unit’s base provides extra support as you attach the paper to the loop fasteners. The sander comes with one piece of sandpaper in the box to get you started. The sheet already has holes punched in it allowing for dust collection while you work. The noise levels are minimum.

This WEN 1/4 sheet palm sander was great for most lighter-weight sanding projects. It is easy to handle and the dust catcher works. The vibration during sanding was minimal and the noise was acceptable as compare to larger sanders. Since its in square shape, you might encounter challenges with sharper corner areas. Overall, a very respectable sander for its size and price.

This is a nice little sander to have for small jobs. The dust catcher bag feature is really nice and although I was skeptical that it would actually work, I was pleasantly surprised to see how ell it did actually trap most of the dust. it is very lightweight and easy to handle. It comes with 1 piece of sandpaper so you can get busy right out of the box.

I have damage to my right arm from an accident and since I am right handed I have to find tools to use that do the job yet are light enough for me to handle. This sander fit the bill. I like the fact that it is light weight, yet does just as good a job as the older heavier palm sander we own. I want to refinish my kitchen cabinets which will require sanding, and should be able to use this product easily. I also like the fact that it comes with a dust bag, and that you can use either the “velcro” tupe sanding pads, or use just regular sandpaper.

This is a great sander for the price and for the use that I needed when I bought it.

This is a good basic Palm Sander. Nothing too powerful and heavy. Perfect for the casual diyer. Does not have any speed settings. Only on and off which is good enough. For the price this is exactly what i would expect. I do like the dust catch feature as it seems to actually work. The handle is a good size and could be awkward and small for someone with big hands. Comes with one piece of sand paper to get you going right out of the box. Great entry level sander.

I am becoming a big fan of WEN tools. This is my 4th tool by them (Drill Press, Framing Nailer, Brad nailer, and this sander) and they have all been solid, and reliable. Now specifics on this guy. I’m in the middle of a project with some beautiful cherry wood and my old palm sander died. I had that sander for for about 14 years… it was a Black and Decker. So, since I have been having good luck with WEN, and they had a similar sander for a low price, I went for it. This sander has better movement than my old one… it sands better. The vibration is far less too (which is important because I can end up running these for a couple of hours on hardwood projects). The dust collector helps (a feature my old sander did not have) keep the sawdust down… not perfect… but pretty good. The sander feels good in the hand. The down side… not too much but I don’t really care for the hook and loop base… I mean really, who uses that? Just buy regular sheets of sand paper, cut them into quarters and off you go. I use a lot of sand paper so trying to get a steady supply of that fancy stuff isn’t going to do it for me. But regular quarter sheets load just fine. It has the usual spring latch hold on clips… and the ones on this sander are a little less robust than my old one. Overall, happy with this tool. Good tool, good price.
