I studied other users’ comments carefully before my purchase. The product is incredibly light, maneuverable and very powerful.I removed a lot of gunk with ease. Dust collection needs reinvention. Very pleased with the purchase and the price.

My only complaint was the the dust doesn’t go into the bag that well. I also had to make sure to avoid the nails in the deck because they tore the sandpaper. Otherwise great.

Not running smoothly, too much vibration makes it impossible fine-grand surfaces. Otherwise it works well for course wood surfaces

I have several WEN tools now and this one, like the others, is a great value for the money. Swapping belts and alignment adjustments are easy to do. Other nice touches are that the cord is quite long, it includes a dust bag, it is not too heavy and ergonomic in design.

Wen’s tools are pretty affordable and they quality is pretty good for the price. I also have a 1/3rd sheet sander from Wen that I use and it works great. This belt sander is a nice size, nice weight, easy to use and has feels like it’s made well. Very easy to use. Didn’t need to read the manual to figure out how to remove belt or adjust the position but recommend you do if you’ve never used a belt sander before. Exactly how a tool like this should perform.

I have purchased several Wen products over the years and have always been pleased with their performance and durability. This Wen belt sander is no different. I am exceptionally happy with its weight, durability and performance in sanding wood. I do quite a bit of wood working as a hobby, and to date, this is the best belt sander I have ever used. The sanding belt can be quickly and easily replaced. The sander also comes with a dust extraction outlet and collection bag which can quickly be attached and emptied when full. The owner’s manual is well written and should be read carefully before first using the sander. See attached photographs. I expect this heavy duty sander will provide many years of service. Well done Wen!

For the money it is perfect for everyday hobby sanding. I picked up a WEN 3 1/4 hand planer as well and my sanding is now cut to a 1/4 of the time. I would suggest both sander and planer to anyone, don’t be afraid lol

Very good belt sander from wen . Using for the bannisters in the deck . Doesn’t remove surfaces on the deck floor because of curves on the wood boards. But does work if flat .

Overview use/audience: Belt sanders are used to prep long flat rough surfaces (doors, boards, etc). This sander is designed to be light weight (5.5 lbs) and features a dust collector and locking mechanism to reduce fatigue of holding the trigger down.My Experience: The sander is basically good to go out of the box. The sander is well constructed and very simply. It has a trigger, trigger lock, and a release for the belt. I liked the level of control I felt with this sander and was quickly able to smooth out a rough workbench surface. Being left handed I also liked that the sander was symmetric in design. IE it wasn’t contoured or the handle offset for right handed use.Pros:- simply operation- good control; didn’t feel like the sander was getting away from youCons:- a slightly longer cord would be nice (it is 6′)Final Verdict:
